Florida market is depressed and real estate prices are still dropping. Just sold our 3 year old house in Rotonda West, Fl for $100,000 less than original listing price. Took almost one year to sell. Taxes and home owners insurance are high also.

Half of the properties in Cape Coral are rentals. Lakeland has big flooding issues. Tampa is highly congested and expensive. Do your research.

a family member purchased a home in 2022 in N naples for 675k. tax bill is low actually at 5k. Today the same house if purchased at 675k the tax estimator estimates the tax at over 7k. Why if it was the same purchase price as 2022.?

Thinking of moving to Florida but looking at the convenience still praying the Lord leads us to make the right decision but im tired of the cold and attitude of nyc.

The trick with Florida is to live where you can walk or bike to the beach and everywhere else. Change you consumer habits buy less and enjoy and protect the nature.
