Tan Le: My immigration story
Video Overview & Insights
http://www.ted.com In 2010, technologist Tan Le took the TEDGlobal stage to demo a powerful new interface. But now, at TEDxWomen, she tells a very personal story: the story of her family -- mother, grandmother and sister -- fleeing Vietnam and building a new life.

Dream elsewhere.๐
Bye bye migrants. Dream somewhere else.
Good finally people have stopped sitting on their behinds waiting for the government to do everything.
What's the matter with Americans. Have you lost your guts.? Get up and do something๐ฎ
The Devil, Satan, The Evil, One is a Liar ๐ And the Devil ๐ is a liar
Cast out the Devil
Resist him and he will flee
Cast out the Devil
For we have authority.
He is defeated andย
Jesus is Lord evermoreย
Cast out the Devil ๐ย
And close the blessed door.

Bye bye migrants. And get them out of here.
Bye bye.
Bye bye.
Migrants are a migraine.
Wow
@Phongtitan2014Thanks for sharing your life, I always admired you for your achievement without knowing your immigration story but now my admiration go beyond your product. You and your family are beautiful souls. God bless you all.
@shafikgeorgeskhouzam5810I admire the women in her family including herself. And I believe she will have brave children like her.
@growingtwogetherOne of the best TED talk I'd ever viewed.
@missUn1verse81A truly inspiring story for all... Best wishes Tan Le ..!!!!
@DinojCDWhat do you think about going back to your hometown?
@baopham9685She is one of lucky ones who has enough to money to buy the way for escaping. There were lots of people back then who faced much severe political punishment but did not have the money to pay for escaping.
@jimng6502I watch this many times and each time I broke into tears
It broke my heart at how an Asian girl like so many today against all odd and triumph
Make me cry ๐ข Iโm one of the people who live in that time. Freedom was a very high price to pay.
@tonynguyen36Why Do you say China Sea? This is East sea understand!!! It is Vietnamese sea understand

@angHoHaiIs there A Great Fire Wall in Vietnam
@jimwichen7978I just Ms. Le's name in an assignment and as I listened to her story, I reflect back on my own journey to the US from Jamaica and the many hardships that I had to face and still facing. As I looked at the thumps icons; I noticed that there were 280 thumps down and I quickly wondered WHY and it quickly left my mind as the answer came to my mind. The HATERS are needed! I am inspired
@JamQueenVaniaBeautiful story Tan...knowing you & your family itโs even more personable. Congratulations on your success, your mother must be very proud. As my mother just recently passed last week, your story very similar to ours as boat refugees is ever more important for the sacrifices our mothers made for us. ๐โฅ๏ธ
