It never rebounded. We’re worse off in Utah then in the past 10 years.

Trading hasn’t turned out as simple as I first thought. Unpredictable markets and conflicting strategies created more confusion than clarity, and my efforts so far haven’t produced steady results.. Instead of dwelling on that, I’m looking for clear, actionable guidance to reset and improve my approach.

Everyone's hating on the advice to find a high-paying job and dollar-cost-average your savings consistently into buy-and-hold broad market ETFs no matter what but that's literally the only financial advice that works for every person's situation. The only other essentials he didn't mention are having at least savings of 6-12 months-worth of your expenses in a liquid investment like the money market, GICs, T-bills or just a high-interest bank account as well as paying down high-interest debt before pursuing high-interest investments (because why try to gain 10% on stocks when you're losing 20% on your loan or MLM / crypto / NFT / vibe-coded AI personal-brand dropshipping scheme). Yes, this is obvious elementary financial advice. But considering most people are using buy-now-pay-later instead of responsible credit cards and most people buy things so they can appear to be doing well on social media but can't manage to scrape together $1000 for an unexpected emergency, most people (especially in first world countries that at least have some opportunities for upward mobility) are not following the basics.

It's "easy" because the what needs to be done is simple. What makes it hard is the corrupt world we live in that makes even finding any job or getting useful education challenging. But that doesn't justify trying to find a great-rich-quick magic bullet instead of just being disciplined with the fundamentals once you manage to make more than minimum wage or can move to a cheaper cost-of-living area.

My credibility: I grew up poor and didn't focus on my education/career for most of my life until recently but have been applying the boring basics like suggested in this video and have seen quantitative success from that compared to trying to outsmart the world.

Printing new money during a recession doesn’t necessarily cause inflation. The value of money comes down to what it can buy. You only notice it’s worth less when other businesses raise prices. Prices typically go up when people have more money to spend, because if they dont, then raising prices just drives customers away. In a recession, many people hold onto their money and avoid investing, which means lower earnings and less spending. This can spiral as businesses cut investments and costs—often by reducing staff—leaving people with even less money. When the government prints money and distributes it to the public, people can start spending again. If done carefully, this can restore the previous balance so prices stay stable and inflation doesn’t occur.

Not trying to be racist, but I read somewhere that black people were the only ones whose money wasn't taken away since they weren't allowed to bank back in the early 1900s. Is that true? Lol

Ai is definitely a bubble the problem is all the people in the real economy already know and only the elites trying to get something out of it are actually tied in.

For those saying this video doesn’t show you what to do during a recession, he explained that at the beginning. The rest of the video is to show you that everything is reacted and no matter what things will stabilize just like you did last time.

What I am doing for my family is putting my money in gold & and when it comes to investing to try to get a return, I only invest into the military industrial complex like Lockheed Martin, Boeing, etc.

Also it's pretty clear now that with the oil shock coming up to 1st world countries in 1-2 weeks as the last oil tankers come in, there will likely be a global recession. Like, a GLOBAL recession.

In my 72 years, I've survived four "recessions", Jimma Carta's triple digit "stagflation", LBJ's war, Clinton's sell-off of American corporations, LBJ's "War on working people, uh, POVERTY", Tricky Dick, Oblamma, and B-B-B-Biden's stupidity. I'd admit I'm still working, but the IRS and Social Insecurity wouldn't like it. I mop floors, clean restrooms, empty trash and clean windows because the nearly two dozen "Gen laZyers" I've trained, won't do it for $22 an hour! I did it for 75 cents an hour and bought a $495 motorcycle at age 14 (and one day) to ride to work. Well, my plot and casket are paid for...
