Auteur, compositeur et interprète britannique, Gordon Sumner, alias Sting, rend hommage aux maîtres anciens du Rijksmuseum d’Amsterdam. Le gentleman septuagénaire, ancien membre du groupe The Police, s’est laissé inspirer par des tableaux de Rembrandt, notamment La ronde de nuit – installée dans un écrin de verre en raison de sa restauration –, ainsi que par des toiles de Vermeer et de Judith Leyster. Le musicien s’accompagne d’une guitare du XVIIe siècle, prêtée pour l'événement, et interprète des extraits de son spectacle musical The Last Ship, mais aussi certains de ses plus grands titres.

@palomabrene1582Sting at 2016 Java Jazz Jakarta was much better, Amsterdam is too poor. I lived in Amsterdam between 2002-2010, only Indonesia is the world's richest paradise, No.1 Top 50 Most Beautiful Countries by Forbes.
The Netherlands is too poor, too tiny and too dumb.

Sting's voice is like wine, it gets better every day, month, or year.
One could only ask, since his songs on his albums are all beautiful,
even the lesser-known ones, why there can't be a period when the audience doesn't feel
the physiological need to listen only to his most famous songs?
If I were Sting, honestly, I would feel like singing
all the other songs that never leave the marvelous albums where they were recorded,
but apparently, that's just my own need.
Dominic Miller is also a very sensitive musician, and Sting was really lucky to come across him.
Incredible quality of live instrument playing by sting accompanied by his goregous live singing. Great songs selection foe the performance. Would love to be among those luckiest present at the event.
