I have Basic Plan and loved the Fewer Repeats option, but as of today, it has disappeared. Maybe Spotify was testing it out? I'd switch to Premium to have this.
Another change, and maybe you know more about this, is I can no longer see my saved songs and albums by specific artists on their page anymore. I only see list of their most listened to songs and albums in general. Very annoying.

Whatās the big deal with shuffle ? Iām intelligent enough to arrange songs in an order I choose. Why do they have to make it a feature ? It should be a basic option that should be available in all music players from the get go, like wtf ? Have the people who make these apps ever created a mix tape ? Why is it so difficult to have simple options ?

How about Spotify turns off this ridiculous forced shuffle entirely?! It's absolutely ridiculous that you can't listen to an album in consecutive order. Honestly, I just installed Spotify on my phone. But I'm already tempted to throw it off again. The desktop app works fine (till now).

ive had fewer repeats on since launch and its actually repeated more songs than i have ever seen in all the time i have had spotify.
im starting to reconsider playing for a subscription because they cant get their shit together

Mine was automatically on the new feature without knowing and I was still complaining this whole time so no different.

Ive had this problem for a week, keeps playing a shuffle "playlist" which ques the same songs in the same sequence just the difference is where in the sequence it will play.

the fewer repeats is "whoops all repeats". It's actually crazy how few songs are in the loop that just keep appearing, even when I manually delete them from the queue.

I'm in Australia and I can see it, but now I can't get smart shuffle to work AT ALL... anyone know a fix???
@starxvii4790The fewer repeats option is no longer a true random shuffle and I went back to standard shuffle and thank you Spotify for a true random shuffle and you call it standard shuffle.
@TheBman3rdStill not shuffled though, they're randomized. Shuffle implies take these X songs and shuffle them in a different order. Youtube does this perfectly if you shuffle playlists.

@Robospy1I fucking hate that option. Especially with a free account when it starts playing totally random songs that are completely out of your tastes range.

@legomannyfulWhat's most frustrating is that this is that random order generation is the most easily-programmed feature and not at all hard to implement. The fact even part of it (a no-repeat but still nonrandom shuffle) is locked behind a paywall is a slap in the face.

@ashleyc4895i am not trying to be an anti-steaming elitest by saying this, but if you have a standalone digital player, like an ipod or something, this was never an issue and probably will never be an issue. I cancalled spotify recently an ahve never been happier.
@BlazeingGoldReviewsQuestion why would you use volume normalization? Don't you want to hear the music as the artists intended?
@TheBman3rdi just updated my app on a premium free trial in the us and dont have the feature yet. it must vary from country to country

@ÕavijYou think Spotifys shuffle was broken. Back when I had a 3 month free trial of Apple music. Theo shuffle play for their playlists is so broken I went back to my paid Spotify subscription after 2 days. I just couldn't handle how bad the Apple music shuffle is. St least with Spotify I knew how to work around their shuffle play and now I don't have to and it's a game changer. Yay! For Spotify.

@dbwkdidwbsofI'm a premium user since 2016. For some reason Spotify decided to cancel my Family plan subscription and when I tried to subscribe again, the new plan only includes 4 members instead of 6 and I would have to pay separately for the other two as extras. I decided with my family to leave Spotify for good.

@MikeKnopsYeah, pay spotify to get benefit from their shitty build. Nah. F**k Spotify. Next they'll only give you access to a play button that works 100% of the time if you pay for Premium+
@faux_hoboNice feature, but the shuffle is still absolutely broken. When putting two albums in one queue and then press shuffle, you expect that all songs of the two albums are mixed and therefor shuffled. Wrong!! Spotify shuffles the first album and plays it an then the second album will be played in a shuffled state. Why Spotify? Youtube Music does this as supposed.
