Can tell neither of them watches that much South Park calling Carrman a genius and successful. He's literally the causer of half the issues and fails frequently. He's not made to be a likeable or relatable character and if he is to anyone it's not a good sign.

Many years ago me and my sister were staying at my grandparents house and they never let us watch tv. Somehow my sister convinced them to let her use the tv to watch South Park, and of course it was the wheel of fortune episode that was playing.
My personal favorite was the water park episode. I was staying at a psychiatric facility for a month and they had a tv where they kept the phone we could use every night and cartman was singing “get these minorities out of my water park” and it brought me back to earth and made me less suicidal at that moment. I was dying of laughter.
You’re a real cool guy man, you’re open minded and just find things to celebrate and enjoy. It’s a small thing but it has a profound impact overall in my life.

@AnthonyWatrous-r7rI was 10 when South Park first aired. My mother was very clear with me that she never wanted to catch me watching it. I was a mostly outdoorsy kid in the middle of nowhere, I was barely aware it existed. Until that moment. Hell, I don't think I was aware that any cartoons came on late at night. Aside from the standard Saturday morning binge, I was running around barefoot and fighting the neighbor kids with sticks. I then proceeded to immediately begin watching every episode I could sneak in without her catching me. My current sense of humor owes a lot to Parker and Stone. No one is safe from South Park, and if you haven't been offended in some way by an episode or two yourself, I think you've missed a few episodes.

What about the episode where they made fun of Christopher Reeves (Superman) for benefitting from stem cell research? They showed him sucking the life out of baby fetuses to become powerful. Gene Hackman (Lex Luthor) had to show up to stop him.
@vincenthawksPart of what made South Park magical is that even though it was really crass and raunchy it also had parody or social commentary which is actually high level humor, often wrapped in a coherent story, which has become harder to come by more and more.
