I think Rockstar can get away without a physical version for gta 6 because it’s GTA 6 but I don’t think other companies will be able to get away with not having physical discs anymore

I wouldn't call us small fry at all. Insomniac came out and said digital and physically sales are at a 50/50 split. The 85% includes digital only games, dlc and microtransactions.

@eddierodriguez7178It's so sad to learn that Sony is going to lose a lot of money in the future and especially with a digital market era because their console and their digital games will no longer bring value but instead the whole company being bankrupt or maybe worse Sony PlayStation being gone for good
But if PlayStation keeps insisting of making physical game copies and create and Advanced console for both physical and digital then you won't have any problem because games bring value and you're much likely to create an advanced console but with creating a digital version of that console you are most likely to be bankrupt and lose Millions if not billions of dollars if they are insisting to go the digital era
