His ADHD and manic behavior was difficult for me to watch. It's probably putting a mirror to my face and I totally understand self-medication, especially with alcohol. I am so sad that he ended up killing himself. The depression is non-ending

In interviews, no matter how silly or energetic he would be, you could ALWAYS see the sorrow in his eyes.
I would've LOVED to be his friend. Not a superstar, not a 'buddy' getting free entertainment, but an actual Friend, that he could open up to.
The MAJORITY of 'entertainers' are little more than 'bottom-feeders'; instantly hating the 'new guy' but tolerating him, to hatefully envying his talent, skill & abilities, to feigning friendship, just to FEED off his energy.
Robin once said that it was better to be alone, than to be SURROUNDED by people who made you FEEL Alone. I TOTALLY get that. I deeply Understand, and it makes me want to hug him, all the more.
People who have REAL depression are fighting a Demon that they were imprinted with. Just think... if Robin had been lavished with the attention he needed, from infancy, he might actually have become a foreign diplomat.
Those of us who have ACTUAL, REAL Depression, tend to do wild, goofy, things JUST TO MAKE OTHERS LAUGH. He's HONEST. He was so RIGHT when he said it's like a drug. The problem is, OTHERS.. People, oddly, and in general, only want to 'take', from other people. Just imagine a World where people GAVE more to others, than they TAKE.
Most comedians are manic depressives. They use comedy to hide their problems . It's called a mask. In his day a depressed person was labelled a nutter.

@GraceDworaczekUnfortunately the fda doesnt make products that treat everyone. Whats even worse is that you cant identify nor relate to or with mental health experts that either dont have problems with metal illnesses or have never taken fda products. Ive Been on 9 different medications over the last 20 years and finally I got sick of going broke on prescriptions and doctor visits. You cant help but laugh when you see the news and the study that was done by researchers claiming we only use 20 percent of our brain....... because those researchers dont use anymore than anyone else who doesnt use anymore than 20 percent of their brain either. You debunk it in less than 45 seconds that nobody truly knows the human condition as much as they "claim" to know about it. Unfortunately theres no cure or medication for (loneliness) either. Finding someone to spend your life with hasnt been as easy for you your whole life as its been for other humans. You truly believe after hs graduation in 07 that you were just indifferent for this planet and the human kind as a whole all together.

@ccheg3949I am a stroke survivor. I have been fighting for Depression and Anxiety each day. I can not calm my mind from over thinking. Feeling being alone, and doing important things with out assistance. I seek to hear Moral Support from my close friends and relatives but i don't hear from most of them. I will not stop fighting each day....and i will never stop praying to Jesus. He has been with me since I almost died three years ago.
@tristantupazOnce I learned about mental illness, in particular, bipolar disorder, I realized that Robin suffered from that. Unfortunately and very sadly, he never sought medication for it, because that would have decreased his manic performances. Also, unfortunately, bipolar disorder often leads to suicide if left untreated.
