Use to live in end of Jacksonville where is Airport but without know subdivision young drug addition in same subdivision. Horrify with 2 times burglary by 2 young drugs - addition opposites side. They clean up my house twice. Most live here are Navy family & house reasonable price in this FL State burglary but scare the most. Sold my house part of gift to retired military (lost large amount of money) but got my peaceful life in other State. So Good bye, Au revoir, Sarolara Jacksonville Florida .

Thank you so much for this video. I was born in Jacksonville FL but moved away when I was a toddler. I moved back in 2021 and I have been trying to improve my experience here but I feel like I want to try a different place like Orlando or Tampa. Felt boring and very routine-like. But your video is expanding my perspective on Jacksonville and I just need to find which area fits me best ๐๐พ. I will give it another year ๐ and see where God directs my heart โค๏ธ โ๏ธ.

Thank you so much for this video. I am moving to Atlantic Beach from Baltimore/Washington in a few short weeks, and I am freaking out. I think all the stress will leave me once I arrive, but my only knowledge of Florida is Disney World when I was seven. I probably will never even venture into the city unless I end up working there. I have had enough of NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and DC. I am done with cities. Atlantic Beach looks peaceful, but I will find out. It will not be anything like DC or Baltimore, I am certain of that. The roads actually look smooth there. Where I live, it is like a war zone with potholes so deep you can barely see the tip of the traffic cone thrown in it as a warning. I can not imagine life without massive potholes. Lol!

What about rentals for 55 and over?
@missbree1855Coming to Jacksonville this winter for a month for the first time.. we are
Planning to get out of Canada.. this city seems to be best for us. Hoping to explore the city and see what is where: we have little kids and Christian schools will be priority.. cannot wait to explore this amazing city
In nyc we cross like 3 bridges 2 times a day
@BlackJeepConvertibleThis is easily one of the best and most entertaining / honest reviews of JAX Iโve seen. You absolutely nailed it!
Iโm actually relocating to Seven Pines this winter and I caught the community around the 27:11 mark, so you were definitely speaking my language. That area is a straight-up Florida honey hole. Youโre right by the beaches, Town Center, Mayo, and I-95, all which is hard to beat.
And Jacksonville itself? Great food, diverse, military, pro football, hockey, baseball, and of course the legendary "Worldโs Greatest Cocktail Party's In The South" rivalry between Georgia and Florida, which gives the city even more personality.
Yes, the traffic can be a beast at times, but letโs be honest, it still is not touching Atlanta, DC, or even Tampa on a bad day. Not even close. Plus, people seriously overlook the fact that JAX has an international airport with some clutch direct flights, all without the Orlando Mouse House chaos, which is a huge win.
I've visited for the past several years and what I love about Jacksonville is that it has its own unique flavor. It is definitely Florida, but being so close to Georgia gives it that extra shot of Southern charm. So you get beaches, oak, pine, and palm trees with a side of manners, character, and just a little drawl in the air.
Bottom line: JAX is underrated, well positioned, and just a cool place to be. I think it is positioned to be the next big thing in FL! DUUU-VAAL!
anytime i look up jacksonville florida Its just a bunch of crime reports. Do you feel safe in Jacksonville? is this a reason to not move there. cause im in the process of doing so now.
@ryandecker366832207
@LindaVera-tz5kqIโm researching Jacksonville, and I do want to be a random beekeeper.
@EldagustoWell, I've never been to Jacksonville. Looks stunning, and I wish I could visit Jacksonville someday, cause my Husband to be is from Jacksonville. I really hope by this year I could come to visit Jacksonville. Thank's to showing this Video. Best regards from Indonesia โค
@EagleEyes-o5kIm going to jacksonville for a year for some work at Mayo. Coming from Jersey. Really just worried about the heat/humidity and the hurricanes. Also since im only around for a year and dont know anyone there I feel like ill miss out on some of the experiences that you mentioned. Like boating. Kayaking seems fun though. I do like a good trail too. Maybe ill pick up golf, but is it clubs or is it open to the public?
@MrAdmiralKushLots of drugs, homelessness, horrible public transportation, poor city planning, bad food, and the beaches are nothing special
@LC11111-kI love Jacksonville so far but wish I could live on the Southside cauae at the good restaurant are out there beside here on the northside.. but I choose to live here cause I dont like commuting to work
@westvillefinest697Whatโs a great place in or near Jacksonville I own horses no kids would like to be near stores and restaurants and a decent commute
@timstewart5227I like Jacksonville, it's been 9 yrs I've lived here there's plenty of hospital's good health care in my 68 years on this planet ain't nothing to complain about I'm from Brooklyn NY love it here Peace and keep on truckin ๐๐ต๐ท๐บ๐ธ
@Francisco-g9b2pWeโre moving there at the end of this summer. Weโre visiting at the end of this month. Iโm definitely calling you for a quick sit down.
@TruckerT_1Jacksonville needs a overhaul completely and turn it into an destination n liveable spot. It needs a mix of tampa/miami/orlando in one setting honestly.
@HondaXr650LGreat video bud, very well organized and produced.
@adamtronicsIm so excited at all the change. Born here and I can definitely catch the vision. Great job.
@tiphall16181000 cons, 0 pros.
@restfulambiancehq157Nah. It sucks here. Donโt come.
@thesloresby5128Me and my wife will be visiting Jacksonville in April , thinking about relocating there, right now we're living in Douglasville, Georgia
@stefbeats7163If you ever played grand theft auto San Andreโs and got to the end of game thatโs how Jacksonville feels. You donโt need a car but you need a car the JTA is slowly for sure improving and itโs tons of ebike/scooters to join to really take in the city. I love Jacksonville and the potential and i hope it doesnโt lose that small but big ass city feel with the inventors coming in and buying up the city. Duvalllllllllll
@MartellTrayvonneI moved here 3 years ago. I bought my first house here in a nice area. It is quiet and there's no crime. Many very nice houses and mansions around here.
If I were to like any part of Jacksonville, the place I live isn't terrible. However, I don't like Jacksonville.
I never go on the bridges so that's not an issue.
I bought my house all at once and used up the rest of my money.
Jax is boring as hell and expensive. Even here in the nice area of the city.
After living here 3 years, I hate it. There is absolutely nothing here to do. There's nothing about Jacksonville to like.
I lived in Nashville for a year and you could just go out and party in that City. Nothing fun like that over here.
I would move but I used all my money to buy my house. I can't afford to buy a second house to move into elsewhere.
Cant sell it because I'll have no place to live.
I know nothing about real estate so I probably should have rented.
I got a good deal when I bought this house and completely paid it off all at once.
It's also very hard to make friends here.
I hate Jacksonville.
My wife and I work from home. Wit that said, where would be the best side of town to live when commuting is not a must for us, other than the gas station and grocery store?
@B-HutJSU228The bridges have no lights only the Main Street bridge ๐ does and they barely turn it on to light up the city โฆโฆ.. the Matthews and hart bridge should have LED lights but they are dark โฆ. You go to any other city like Louisville or Dallas or any city like the Bay Area those bridges are lit ๐ฅ up at night โฆ.. Jacksonville is a big town full of parks โฆ.. itโs Georgia
@Mr_MrDuval904I lived in jax in 2006 - 2008 and I would never move back there the city is stagnant
@rodpugh8876Mixontown its being ignore but it will go up regardless how ignored it gets for now.
@Wierdworld-z7qIโm a life long resident and you nailed it. Itโs all about the zip code and what youโre looking for and where you work now that most people have RTO. Weโre not the river city because itโs cute. Itโs because you may have to cross a bridge to live your full life. Although itโs taken forever for leaders to push for real growth and development Iโm glad itโs happening in my lifetime.
The sad part is that most of the core neighborhoods will have to be gentrified in order to see any improvements and growth opportunities. The dollars only flow into certain tax bases (zip codes).
Downtown is finally growing because First Baptist Church has lost its stronghold on the culture of downtown development.
The biggest waste of prime real estate is the green space that was formerly the Jax Landing. Instead of rebuilding the restaurant/entertainment hub for all of the new downtown residents to enjoy, they made a dumb empty grass lot. The old way of thinking. I guess you canโt win them all.
I moved here 10 years ago, lived in an amazing apartment building in Riverside on the river for 2 years. Bought in Avondale, so I kinda know Jax. My daily errands have no bounders. I'm all over the place. I think you do a very good job of explaining this expansive city. Know what your lifestyle is and you will find it here.
