Learn Chinese in 5 Minutes - All the Grammar Basics You Need!
🇨🇳 You asked for the full Chinese course, so I’ve moved it to YouTube Memberships for an extremely low price! 👇https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsNj5F48RzoPTwqWXFnSqkQ/join
(Why I did this...)
Thank you so much for the incredible response to this video! A lot of you have been asking about the full course.
The truth is, producing these high-quality teaching videos takes a massive amount of time and resources (this video alone took over 70 different editing layers in Premiere Pro to put together!).
Because YouTube ad revenue alone isn't quite enough to sustain this level of production, I had to rethink how to deliver the full course to you. I realized I wanted to make learning Chinese accessible to as many of you as possible, rather than locking it behind an expensive standalone course.
What to expect inside:
We use a simple, visual color-coded system that teaches you Chinese the right way, making sure you actually understand how the language works. Whether your goal is to speak confidently in real life or to pass official examinations, this method is built to get you there!
Joining the channel membership gives you instant access to this premium study content, and your support directly helps us survive and continue producing the highest-quality Chinese lessons on YouTube.

Mnemonics are also quite powerful in learning any language! Here's a quick example. The word 树 - tree is easy to remember when you imagine seeing a tree covered with shoes (Nike, Adidas, NB, etc.). Imagine walking under the tree and the 'shoes' start hitting you in the head as they fall. This will remind you that the pinyin shu4 is fourth tone; falling tone. If you see the scene in your imagination, you can't forget it.
Hey guys in this video I will share with you how to make any sentence with any tense in Chinese! You will learn how chinese language works, how to create tenses, how to say what you want!
How to make interrogative sentences in Chinese!
Great video!! Good job!!! When you go deeper, you'll learn STPMVDO (subject-time-place-mode (adverb)- verb - duration- object. (Think of it as SToPMoVaDO; as in the watch brand). This will become useful in the future.
If you want to learn chinese subscribe to the channel, I will posto videos to help you learn chinese and share tips on how to learn chinese!

im singaporean n im learning chinese since i was young n i dont rlly learn the grammar but im watching this cuz singaporeans mix up english grammar rules with chinese lol like in english its “我不可以找到” but in chinese its "我找不到“ n in chinese, they sometimes use only 1 character from a 2 character word to pair with another character so its sometimes like a riddle lol u hv can guess the meanings by knowing another word's meaning but im not gd at that...

我听说英语国家大学前都不学英语语法,所以有必要教习中文语法吗?中文严格来说根本没有语法,现有的中文语法都是19世纪一批中国人参照英文发明出来的
@Xatlas-l5eKey Grammatical Concepts
• Sentence Structure: Chinese follows the Subject-Verb-Object (SVO) pattern, similar to English (0:05-0:17). Nouns do not have articles, gender, or singular/plural forms in the same way English does; instead, plurality is expressed by adding numbers or quantity words before the noun
(0:19-1:17).
• Negation: The characters 'bu' (for general negation) and 'mei' (for the verb 'to have' and past tense negation) are placed before the verb (1:23-1:57).
• Interrogative Sentences: You can form questions by adding 'ma' at the end of a sentence, duplicating the verb with 'bu' or 'mei' in between, or using interrogative pronouns (e.g., 'what',
'which') (2:00-2:48).
Tenses and Time
Since Chinese does not use verb conjugation, tenses are formed by introducing time markers or specific particles:
• Present/Future: Time words (e.g., 'today', 'tomorrow') are placed before or after the subject (2:52-3:33). Future tense can also be indicated by using 'hui" or "yao' before the verb (3:36-3:47).
• Present Continuous: Use the characters 'zai' or "zhengzai' before the verb, or the structure
'zai...ne' (3:50-4:14).
• Past Tense: Use the particles 'le" (for completed actions) or 'guo" (for past experiences) after the verb (4:18-4:47).
The video concludes by encouraging viewers to practice by swapping subjects, verbs, and objects to build new sentences (5:05-5:23).
Mei is eat? i thought it's Chi?

@oanalesnic79Anyone here friendly who can teach me chinese cuz iam pursuing BA in chinese we can talk and learn together!!❤
@ishitapokhriyal2007Very good!!!❤
@msm7927So the hardest thing about Chinese is listening (besides the writing)
@gabrielbcoronasuper easy to understand! thanks!!
@jujuvernonverb + guo is same as have, i have eaten apples
@maecortes5529Im not going to fool myself to think that Chinese can be taught easily loke this 😅
But this vídeo gives headlines of major grammar for a long hard study for months of practice.
This is not a lecture of how to speak or learn Chinese, No!!
This video can be a reference to grammers that you might take a look at the rule while you are studying Chinese, because this language is on top of most difficult one beside Arabic which i consider is the MOST difficult.
Bottom line you have to work hard for long hours everyday to learn a new language.😅
Ive been through this 😢🤪
thank you for creae this channel and also uploaded many useful videos!
@jissokim2896The most difficult is writing
@JhonVelez-i5dCan this be executed in cantonese aswell?
@DykeBehaviourAs an English speaker... this is so confusing... it started off great... then focused on the edge cases.... and I stopped understanding at this point... thumbs down....
@davidharper1152You have explained so nicely..even though i dont know abc of chinese but you have explained very well and its looks easy now
@zyx.238Ummm… present continuous to negate would not use 不, instead would use 没在。。。
@mikewinburnWhat's off/bad/missing:
1) No one EVER says 'I eat an apple.' → 'I eat apples', yes 👍🏻
1:00 No fluent native EVER says 'I eat many apples,' either. Only foreigners. → Fix to 'I eat a lot of apples' 👍🏻
2) You go off on a tangent about articles "a" / "the" etc. instead of making your main points first, and simply (and quickly).
3) Not only too much extrania, speaking too fast for a normal person to absorb / practice to self
4) Too much English! It would take me like 100 years to learn Chinese this way.
I wish I’ve found this much quicker I want to learn Chinese to speak with a friend
@thehappypiano2985I’m Japanese
Thank you so much
5 min to learn grammar. 10 years to learn how to read (not mentioning tones).

@alisunjayaThank you so much!!This is perfect and understandable explanation!❤❤❤
@natalialu7998This is such a great video!! Thank you again!!!
@nueralsageGlad I found this after countless videos of repeating sentences with no insight into the core principles behind it all
@nueralsageThese are well explained. But it's only the tip of the iceberg and your examples are pretty much the most basic form of sentences. Maybe you should edit your title to 'form any basic chines sentence in 5 minutes'. As soon as there are longer sentences and more complex grammar, chinese sentences starts to become very frustrating and confusing to build.
And also the kind of how words were placed in a sentence make it difficult for chinese learners to adapt.
Like: 经历过很多次失败以后,她终于成功了。For me as a german, this word order was so hard to understand and I would never come up with such a sentence to be honest 😢
This channel is absolute gold. You literally just condensed 2 years of my Chinese classes into 5 minutes... insane value laoshi!
