Another weirder way of doing it is making Chicken Gravy that you pour over some waffles. Better as part of a breakfast with bacon and eggs than by itself, but still pretty good.

So, chicken and waffles had a restaurant here where I live. It sadly bombed. But, I went twice, once with friends, and I loved it so much, I dragged my fam. Wife loved it, kids were kids, and in-laws were neutral. (In-laws are always neutral when i cook, dead taste buds, but I digest). Chicken and waffles are stupid good. Make the chicken as savory as possible. The waffle side is so sweet that it compliments the chicken. And, i am a savory taste person. Nothing can be too salty. And everything is too sweet. And I loved a restaurant that did both. Just wish I had the culinary guts 15 years ago that I have now.

I have a 12 year old autistic grandson that has a really difficult time trying anything new. Over breakfast this morning we were talking about what we should have for dinner as I had thawed out a whole chicken yesterday. I suggested chicken and waffles (which I had never had) and he immediately said “no way” as he thought I was joking that anyone puts syrup on their chicken. So I said “let’s take a look” and your video popped up first in my search. He laughed out loud at some of your antics and jokes and by the end, at least his little brother was on board to try it. Later in the day we assembled the required ingredients and as I was preparing the meal he watched closely to make sure I followed your instructions properly . Periodically he corrected me or told me “shush baby girl” and “papa no hug you”.
In the end, he very much enjoyed the meal. He even had seconds! You got a thumbs up but I can’t attach the pic on YouTube. 😊. Thanks for your recipe and humor, this was one of the easier new food introductions ! we’ve experienced
