It would be interesting if Maul use his broken double-bladed lightsaber for dual-wielding combat.

@rickynunn8188I first saw this when I was ten, and I keep coming back to it, still. As an adult I can notice new things that younger me would.
Obi-Wan's first move is a jump strike, which I never noticed. He threw his entire body into it. There's so much rage in that moment. I can't imagine how powerful he would have become had he actually given into his anger.
The Fact these are Two Padawans basically adds weight to it yeah Obi-Wan defenitey taps into the Darkside .
@RedSixDownImagine if they spared Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace and had him appear in the rest of the prequel trilogy instead of Count Dooku (Maul is superior to Dooku in many ways as a Sith but not Vader and Sidious themselves.) leading the Seperatists and dueling Anakin, Obi-Wan and Yoda instead and had Anakin kill him and suceed him as Sidious’ next Sith apprentice in Revenge of the Sith. Though they did eventually bring back Maul for The Clone Wars, Star Wars: Rebels and Solo: A Star Wars Story.
If I were to write Twilight of the Apprentice, I would have Darth Vader lightsaber duel and kill Maul (Like he did in Legends, this is Canon.) as revenge for killing the insquitiors before he mets and lightsaber duels Erza and Ashoka because it would be the perfect opportunity for Vader to duel Maul and have him successfully met and duel all the other Sith Lords, aside from Darth Sidious and Count Dooku and it would be more interesting to see Maul met his end at Vader’s hands than Obi-Wan Kenobi’s in Twin Suns because he already feuded with Obi-Wan quite enough and should duel Vader for once and show how Vader cared much for the insquitiors as his apprentices and how angry he was at Maul for killing them and how that anger helped him defeat him. Imagine an alternate history or What If? Where this happens.

High energy, emotional fighting. Maul literally met his match and had to resort to fruity space magic to break the status quo ass beating Kenobi was dealing out. Obi Wan wasn't giving a single inch after watching his father figure get cut down like that. It was a mixture of skill and rage.
Kenobi just about bested a son of Dathomir. Think about that for a second.
love how evenly matched obi wan and darth maul are in this. very fast paced too. best lightsaber duel in the star wars series imo. the music and everything else make this epic.

It always bugged me how at 0:13 the laser gates open for Obi wan but instead of using the force dash him and Qui Gon used earlier to escape from the droidekas, he just runs normally here. Like this was the perfect time to use the force dash again since the laser gates could close at any moment. If he used the force dash here he could’ve been able to save Qui Gon. Since they would’ve been able to fight Maul together.
@Ravensbro04What i absolutely love about this fight, which i never really thought of before, but there's no breaks in the action for stupid one-liners or quips or any type of verbal back and forth. No cliche "you killed my master" or "you'll pay for that" or "you're weaker than he is" to get either side riled up. Just 1 "NOOO!" and right into the action and until one of them is defeated.... also Obi-Wan confirmed to be the best light saber combatant, he can win with the high ground AND low ground
@Standby_JRBI just realized. Qui Gon wasn't just meditating, this was where he discovered the Force Ghost abilities. He knew he was gonna die then and there.
@ShanethefilmmakerObi-Wan should've kept Qui-Gon's lightsaber and used it in Attack of the Clones until he was captured on Geonosis.

@ATR-_One of my favorite aspects about this fight is qui Gons meditation stance jumping up into the duel immediately and the fact that Maul actually beat obi wan here, with obi wan being the best lightsaber duelist there is in the galaxy. Had Maul known about obi wan grabbing the light saber before he died I think that this battle would’ve ended quite differently
