NURSERY HACKS EVERY MOM SHOULD KNOW | + Nursery Organization and Storage Ideas

Video Overview & Insights

I'm sharing nursery hacks and organization that every mom should know (coming from a second-time mom.) I've definitely learned some things from my first baby that have impacted how I'm organizing my second baby's nursery. So, these are baby room organization, nursery storage DIY ideas, and a ton more mom hacks for organizing your baby's room. Whether you are looking for nursery furniture and decor (see my full nursery reveals below) or just general nursery ideas for storage in general or maybe baby organization, these baby hacks will help you out!

Watched this video when I was Prego with my first. I'm on baby number 3 now and her tips in this video have helped SO much. That bin to get rid of clothes as you discover is GOLD. Make sure it is easy to access, I keep it on the floor under the crib. I can pull it out with my foot and throw it in, the older boys can throw their clothes in if I ask them to. And then I go threw it like 2x a year and save/discard what I want.

If I was pregnant I'd do classical music only. Also for the first six months of my babies life. Pretty sure they make headphones for toddlers too that cancel noise. Stroller walks on the sode of a busy road? Headphones for sure

For the curtains it could be helpful to put two or three stripes of velcro on the wall or sides of the window and position the opposite site on the curtains. That way it might be really easy to attach and detach the curtains from the wall or sides of the window. Just an idea. Aaaand... now I got to your magnet idea :D Nevermind. haha

00:00 Intro to Nursery Hacks

1:01 Changing table dresser hack

The best blackout solution I’ve found is the Otterspace panel/curtain that uses magnets. Highly recommend! I pair them with regular blackout curtains from Target, but it’s not really necessary, just nice for decor.

When my first was a baby I finally set up 3 bins, donate, try to sell, and keep (for next baby or give to a friend). I was tired of too small clothes ending up back in the laundry cycle.

We also got a tool chest to use as his changing table. It started as a funny photo I showed my husband and he loved it. I actually grew to love it too. I picked white with a beautiful wooden top. It looked really sharp, not hillbilly. I enjoy knowing it’ll be used for years to come in my husband’s shop.

I dont know if this will help looks like this video was posted a while ago but you could also get those... Aye what are they called? Curtain holders and tuck the sides into them. This way you can start gradually letting in a tiny bit of light... A little more... A little more... Until the child can sleep with a decent amount of light which may help with naps that may happen out of the house or nursery. I hope this maybe helps someone

My mom has worked overnights all my life (22 years) and she uses tinfoil over her windows to keep the sun out it 110% works and is affordable. Get some cute curtains to hide the tinfoil and bam no sunlight and no ugly tinfoil showing.

I used to not be able to sleep unless it was pitch black. I didnt even like the tiny light that stayed on the on the t.v sensor. I found that Velcro on the inside of the curtain and the wall, all the way around works great!!

Dear parents!

When Your kids are very good behaviour all the time and always taking good care of their things, keeping their rooms very clean, loving their favorite things and want to make nice childhood collections of their things: books, clothes, toys, video games, clothes, DVDs and etc, then donataing is very wrong thing to do. If You have few space then storage boxes and shelves will help You out and Your kids will be very happy and thankful then, if they can keep their favourite things. Childhood things are very valuable and it is very sad, if they won’t see them anymore in their life. Every child should have the right to keep their things, if they can take good care of them all the time!!!

Respectfully,
Astra Viil

I like the "outgrown box". We keep a bin in the attic with the next size of clothes and cloth diapers. My kids share a room, #3 is due in a month and there will be no more nurseries in this house... We never used a changing table, we just threw the kids on any surface to change them. We use a rolling cart which hold diapers/blankets/burp cloths/wipes in the living room/dining area, which is literally where we spend 95% of our time. We also have a rolling cart which holds all of our homeschool material. I'm convinced rolling carts are the best home hack of our generation!
