@paradiseisland786It's my understanding that our refining capabilities are under capacity. Sure, we could always use more refineries so that would be proactive. I fully support the President but last name isn't Getty so I'm not getting rich with all this American oil production and I'm paying through the nose at the pump. So, no matter what, we need the strait of Hormuz open.

Iran has in fact fought the US to a standstill [even if it has cost Iran plenty]. If America takes kinetic action you can fully expect American bases and allied infrastructure to burn. Either, the intel on Iranian capability and risk assessment was incompetent, or political decisions 'Trumped' military ones.
