Some switch 1 games are actually better on switch 1 than on switch 2 because the native res of the game (900p) was the intended artistic experienc.e

I still play on my old DS lite because of how cute it is and how good it feels in my hands so I definitely understand that attitude with the switch lite. I'm even looking out for one of the later 3DS models that nintendo released before discontinuing the line because of the whole vibe. but yeah, as someone who didn't have an OG switch and got a switch 2, I definitely feel like I made the right choice. I almost got the switch 1 just because I don't care that much about hardware (you could probably tell by the fact that I still use my DS lite) and I usually stay a few generations behind (I had an iPhone 5s until 2022), but I only got this thing because I've been getting more into video games and wanted to play some of the games I've been missing out on (namely BOTW) and it would've been weird if I stayed a whole generation behind and just... kept missing out. but if you're a casual enjoyer like me, and you expect to be making more income within the next 5-7 years, you can probably fall back a bit.

Makes no sense to buy a switch 1 anymore. They must only be selling them to people unfamiliar with consoles.

Switch 1:
- Has a ton of games to play
- Can play them offline
- Is cheaper
- No game keycards

Switch 2:
- Overpriced garbage
- Barely has games
- Has game keycards
- Need internet to play games

I'm going full decade, I still have a great FHD TV and just saved $45 picking up Metroid Prime Beyond & it's only been out 6 months. OG Switch gotta long tail, it will outsell PS2.

After watching the video I've decided that I will buy the switch 2. It's a no brainer.

A used switch light cost around 100 dollars cheapest option for someone wanting to get a switch

The main reason people are still buying oled switch even at that price is mod compatibility.

A "bit of extra money" is currently almost 3x for a Switch 2 over Switch 1

@cynanomite
@

Answer to this: If you have a Switch 1 already and don't want to drop the extra on a Switch 2, perfect, keep what you have. But if you're looking to buy a new console, don't buy an end-of-life console. Ever. You'll regret it very quickly. Aside from the anomaly that was the PS4->PS5 COVID transition, when a console hits end-of-life, you've got 1-3 years before new games for it completely dry up. And we're already past the first year on the Switch 1. Yeah, it'll probably keep getting mobile ports and shovelware for a long time, but do you really want that anyway? If you're buying new, Save up the extra, get the newer console that can still play the Switch 1's games and has life ahead of it with new releases.

I appreciate the effort but please stop making normal youtube videos sound as they are a short. Holy adhd this video is hyper active, chill guy please. God, I hope this Gen-z hyperactive video crap will end soon.

I'm planning on buying a used OLED tbh. Idc about switch 2 exclusives, switch 2 battery life is utter shit, and it looks huge and very uncomfortable, not to mention way less portable.

I've seen and used my cousins OLED in person, and that felt amazing to hold and use, though the wobble is kinda annoying, but I can live with it. I also like the switch 1 aesthetically way better than the switch 2

@lukapetrovic7998

Did you dump your vacuum canister out onto your switch at the beginning?💀😂

@annamnesis98

Who else is here after they just confirmed Ocarina of Time remake?

@jonathanryan9946

yoooooooooooo can you send me some games you don't use that are good and fun please

@Secretman6
@

yes of course you should get the switch 2 especially if you don't have a switch yet

@HannahHäggAutisticTransWoman
@

Switch 2 isn't worth its price with that abysmal battery life, and the fact you can get a switch lite at less than an 100€ used...

@DiavoloGrenadine

Nintendo has the worst customer service experience I've ever dealt with.

When transferring from my old Switch to my new Switch 2, I was verbally assured by Nintendo support that all of my save data would transfer. They even helped me format my SD card and old system during the process.

After everything was done, I loaded up my Pokémon games and discovered that NONE of my save data transferred.

Hours later, another representative told me that Pokémon save data doesn't transfer the way I was originally told and that the first representative should have informed me of that.

As a result, I've lost years of progress across Pokémon Violet, Pokémon Shield, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Event Pokémon, DLC progress, completed Pokédex entries, shinies, countless hours of gameplay—gone.

Nintendo's solution? "Sorry" and a free game.

One free game does not make up for hundreds or even thousands of hours of lost progress.

I'm beyond disappointed. Be extremely careful when transferring to a Switch 2, and make sure you understand exactly what data is and isn't being transferred before you do anything.

Three words that let me stick with Switch 1 forever to the end of my days-Game key Cards.

P.S you may play switch 1 games on switch 2 but there are bugs and a lot of games are unplayable.

This is a no Brainer just go for the recent and more powerful consol.

I was originally planning to get a Switch 2 only when that Splatoon game came out, but seeing as the price is being increased soon I'll probably get one before that increase anyways.

@GraingyAircraft

I hugely regret selling my OLED to upgrade to switch 2. Lesson learned.

@ataxius
@

I’d get the switch 2 lite for sure at 1080p and 3-6 hours of battery life please.

@KnoxAce2000
@

I would say if you already own a switch, might want to stand down unless you want to get in before the $50 price hike coming in September. If you don't, just go ahead and pony up the extra money for the switch 2. I just made the switch (pun intended) from the original to the two and I love it. Pokémon Scarlet ran pretty shaky on original but on the two it just looks amazing and runs buttery smooth. To anybody trying to make a decision, good luck! 😁

@avosburg1

According to this YouTube parasite the Switch 2 is "newer" than the OG model. Remember that in your reactions.

@serrafemme
@

Why is this even coming out in May 2026? You most definitely should NOT be buying a Switch 1 in 2026...Unless you're an idiot or trying to buy a hackable system...

@serrafemme
@

I still have my original switch and two switch lites for the kids. Still a good back log of games we haven't played yet. Not interested in switch 2 as of now. Also Nintendo may optimize the exclusive switch 2 games to be played on the switch 1 in future because so many people are still rocking switch 1

@Mattius08
@

Switch 2 is heavier and there are not so many games to play on 2nd exclusevely

@temkokomissarov3240

I finally upgraded. Minecraft alone runs so much better.

@Quinn_Red_Gaming

What game is that in 1:51?

@jmrosel71

Does the V1 original like what I have actually have issues playing Minecraft lol. I’m not worried though… I have superior systems that can run Minecraft no problem.

Refurbished OLED is around $280, about 1/2 the price of new one w/ the bad screen and no battery life.
