Harry Kane’s salary at Bayern Munich is about $25 million a year, and with bonuses it can go up close to $30 million a year. Barcelona can’t really afford that right now, even though they freed up Lewandowski’s wages, which were in the same range or even higher. That doesn’t automatically mean they can just bring in another player on the same level of wage bill.
Plus, Barcelona can’t really give Harry Kane a long five-year contract just to spread the wages out, the same way they couldn’t do something like that with Marcus Rashford because of age and contract structure.
So this Harry Kane move doesn’t look like it’s going to work. It’s too expensive, and it’s not happening.
