@JakeBigLightDo I have the ability to enter my own manuscript? And will I have the ability to save characters to use for other books in a series? These are my main issues after trying out many paid ai programs for books. I need consistency and the ability to proof and edit anything until the book is completely finished.
@alesiarodriguez4962Same people that did Nurie creator, I purchased that but was never happy with the images I got with it, never produced 1 book from it which was a shame as I spent about $400. This looks good, still issues with generating correct and consistent images but AI getting way better.

@DebrjnBevause of Amazon's limited commission payment options, we South Africans are not able to place books for sale in the Kindle store. Can you imagine that? South African banks no longer accept cheque deposits and Amazon does not do direct deposits to South African banks.

@angeliquekebe3052It is a bit misleading for that AI site to provide a โcopyright pageโ option when it is the case that creative works generated solely by generative AI CANNOT be copyrighted. That is the case in the US and the EU. Itโs also true for most of the rest of the world with exceptions like China where allowance for AI copyright protection is granted in certain circumstances.
In the US, a human being must have substantially created the work of art (literary work, illustration, painting, graphic design, music, film, play, sculpture, etc.) in order for copyright protection to be granted. This has been reaffirmed by the United States Copyright Office (USCO) again and again.
Just typing in a prompt into AI does NOT qualify as human creation since the computer is doing the actual image creation and/or writing. And since most AI engines were trained using copyrighted work, that means that output from those AI engines are likely violating other copyrights.
Even if the AI for the featured service in this video was trained on non-copyrighted work, the output still wouldn't be copyrightable since it was still generated solely by a computer.
About the only instance where a book could enjoy at least some copyright protection would be if a human wrote the entire story and an AI engine generated the illustrations. In that scenario, the human-written story part WOULD be able to be copyrighted, but the AI-generated illustration part would NOT be able to be copyrighted. An example of this happened a couple of years ago when an author tried to copyright a graphic novel she had put together. The story was titled โZarya of the Dawnโ. She had written the story herself, and arranged the layout of the pages herself, but she had used Midjourney to generate all of the illustrations. Initially, the USCO granted copyright because the author did not disclose her use of AI. Once the USCO discovered that AI had been used, the USCO revoked full copyright and instead limited copyright protection to the story she had written plus the layout she created. But ALL of the AI-generated images were stripped of copyright protection.
When copyright is applied for, full disclosure is required concerning whether AI was used and, if it was used, what parts of the creative work was generated by AI.
Summary: while that AI service can be tempting as to how easy it can make the creation process, it ends up being foolโs gold when it comes time to actually protect the work. Itโs all well and good to have โcommercial rightsโ to the work, but commercial rights only gives you the right to reproduce and sell the workโฆitโs NOT the same as copyright protection.
