In 1974, farmers digging a well during a drought struck the head of

a clay soldier. Beneath that quiet field stood 8,000 figures, fully

formed, waiting in the dark for over 2,000 years. The darkness did

not destroy them. The darkness preserved them until the appointed

hour of their discovery.

In this message you will learn why God hides you before He lifts

you: that your waiting season is His hidden preparation, that a

delay and a denial are two very different things, and that something

is being made in you right now that comfort could never make.

You will wait in the temple with Simeon, who held one promise and no

date, and whose decades of waiting had trained his eyes to recognize

a Savior that hundreds walked straight past. You will stand on the

watchtower with Habakkuk. And you will serve forty quiet years

beside Joshua, who was made ready long before the day he was called.

Then at 13:12 we pray a blessed prayer together — surrendering your

timetable, rebuking discouragement and the fear that your time has

passed, and asking for open doors at the right hour, provision,

broken delay, restored years, healing in body and mind, and covering

over the loved ones in their own seasons of waiting.
