Many countries have maternity leave and daycares but women still wouldn’t have kids. In the past women had like 9 kids and there were older sisters, aunties, and grandma’s to take care of the kids. Why do female YouTube content creators always make videos trying to convince women to not be women, or to not like being a woman?

My wife and I have a kid and we travel internationally all the time, we share responsibilities and we both make over 6-figure salaries while sharing the responsibility of raising our son and performing household duties.

And that is not rare, or even really an accomplishment. It's just normal.

And it's not like we're not really well educated or come from privileged backgrounds as well.

All the videos on YouTube by female content creators just discourage women and try to convinced them that they are "cooked" as the kids say. And I've always noticed since childhood that women love to tear each other down. But on YouTube they tear each other down under the guise of "giving advice."

Yes, women used to have more help with housework and raising their children but please don't pretend what that woman at 00:45 was doing was even remotely acceptable and try to normalise it. It's not even about her being a good or bad mother. As an adult you need to know how to feed yourself and others around you, whether you're MALE OR FEMALE. There is zero excuse to not know how to do the most basic things. I see her video when it sometimes comes up on my feed or when others are talking about it so I don't know who she is but I almost feel like she's deliberately rage baiting.

We - humans - are not precisely gift to the world. The world is already overcrowded. Besides, we - women - instead of being worshiped for the extreme sacrifice of procreation, are constantly belittled and taken for granted. Motherhood depletes our energy, personality, and interests, leaving just a pathetic shell. So, is it worth it?

I gave ChatGPT mine and my ex's routine and asked if it was 50/50. Work, chores, cleaning, bills. It said he needed to take 70% of what I was doing to be considered fair 50/50.

Thank you. When I got divorced I fought for everything and got more than 50% just because without me supporting him he didn’t know how to do anything. I had to pay for the full mediation and his lawyer fees too. But he’d decided he ‘didn’t need to work anymore’ (when I was on maternity leave) because ‘psychologically he didn’t feel like he had to’ because i ‘would figure it out’. That was the last straw for me. It cost me a ton in lawyer fees that didn’t need to be spent. But now I live my best life as a single mum without any family support. Who would’ve thought it’d be easier than married. My friends are my network and they’re a way better influence and life giving

Fathers are constantly shamed too. It may not be for not doing child stuff, but for not making enough. I learned years ago there is literally nothing that my wife and I do or don't do that can't be criticized. We've successfully raised 3 bright and good sons, and they are all doing well. I'd say mission accomplished, but because we are not financially well off it's hard not to feel like an absolute failure. I am not able to pay for anyone's college. Neither do we have a big vacation every year. Well, I'm still trying to make better things happen.

Very misleading video title and its attracting all the wrong people... Society is the scam... not motherhood... what makes me even more furious is the people here commenting about "how great their childfree life is" while justifying their decision instead of actually advocating for better treatment of mothers by government, spouses and society... Accusing capitalism while at the same time putting a capitalistic need like one's own career first over the miracle of birthing another life into existence... this is circular logic of the worst kind... so childlike and myopic or short sighted.

We need to make a better world where mothers are treated right instead of normalizing the sentiment that "since motherhood is a scam, so dont bother and enjoy bliss". That's a real thing. As the song goes: "you don't miss it 'till it's gone..." and because so few men ever see life from a woman's perspective (trans-women excepted, perhaps), walk in her shoes, they will never understand or believe that this inequity exists. Or that there's something they could do about it.
