MLB’s GAME-CHANGING New Rules, Explained
Video Overview & Insights
Major changes are coming to Major League Baseball.
Rob Manfred is the WORST Major League Baseball Commissioner in history! His WOKE politics activism is ruining the game. Here is HIS legacy:
* The "forced" relocation of the 2021 MLB All-Star Game from Atlanta to Colorado.
* Forced COVID-19 vaccinations.
* Kowtows to BLM - the political, racist terrorist organization that enriched itself with millions of dollars from false racial narratives.
* The false racial shaming of franchises like the Braves and Indians (now the Guardians) whose names honored our proud Native American ancestors and heritage.
* Forced LGBTQ+ pride events.
* AND changing the original rules of the game (extra innings runner rule, disengagement rule, pitch clock, the implementation of the designated hitter in the National League, etc.).
All said, MLB has evolved into something unrecognizable, which has alienated millions of fans from the game.
Positive changes Manfred could have advocated:
* Establish a salary cap that would help small market teams like the Brewers, Padres, Mariners, Rockies, and Rays (who have all still not won a World Series) be more competitive, and would re-energize their fan base. Other long-time small market franchises like the Pirates, Reds, Tigers, Indians, Marlins, Twins, Royals, and others would also benefit from this.
* Restore the traditional and historic MLB home opener to the Cincinnati Reds, the first MLB franchise.
* Get rid of the "designated hitter." If the length of MLB games was truly an issue, the elimination of the DH could shorten and speed them up.
In an attempt to improve pace of play, inject more action into the game, and reduce injuries, the league’s competition committee recently voted to implement a host of new rules for the 2023 campaign.
So how, exactly, is baseball about to change? Let’s break it down.
It ain't the length of individual games but the length of the season as a whole

Maybe instead of speeding up the game we should slow down our patience and attention span.

Baseball is traditional Americas game. Traditional America is all but gone. No attention span, everything about $$$. It’s perverted and desecrated. You want to save baseball, you must restore the soul of America. Then they will come from far and wide to watch the game, that is perfect and needs no corporate fixers to change rules and create a nanny league.

#mlb #newrules #pitchclock
Wow, this way we can watch them demand a instant replay on any of these new rules. So we can watch the pitch countdown a second time and await a ruling.

These new rules won't make any more people watch. Still the slowest "sport" on earth.
@alg11297Not even baseball anymore so bs
@MPONEWASHBASEBALL NEEDS TO STAY THE SAME WAY IT'S ALWAYS BEEN . MLB IS GETTING TO INVOLVED IN THE WAY THE GAME HAS BEEN SINCE IT'S INCEPTION. HOWEVER I DO AGREE WITH ONE OF THE NEW RULES THAT I FEEL WILL SPEED UP BASEBALL AND THAT IS THE PITCH CLOCK BECAUSE PITCHERS TAKE TO MUCH TIME ON THE MOUND BEFORE DELIVERING THE PITCH.
@shaunhaggerty8618Here’s my opinion they have to try to do something to improve the game so they can sell more tickets and get people in the stadium, and most average fans don’t want to watch a pitchers battle. So yes I like the new rules. They can always get rid of rules changes if they don’t work as intended. And I’m hoping the shift rules don’t help everyone, I’m hoping they only help those with heavy pull numbers. I know of two players on my Seattle mariners that should be helped by that rule. I don’t think these rules will have drastic changes on the game, it’s not like we will start seeing every game be seeing scores like 12-13 or anything. But if it could help get a bit more offense and more excitement I’m all for it
@rickrussell498why are you yelling?
@peteheisinger4603We need more of these. Why not automated ball-strike call?
@teddybear-g4kthey should make it 3 balls 3 strikes !!
@Garymarzz2024....make all ball parks 40-50 feet deeper with walls like the Green Monster in Boston! I would sooner see batters hit doubles, triples and inside the park homeruns than lazily jog around the bases like they do in slob ball!
@rogerweir1772All this has to do is for TV, no TV wants a 4 hour game
@blainekussmaul5418Ugh some sounds good others sound dumb banning the shift ,, that's strategy ... if you get too many rules it becomes a chore for the manager an dplayers who just want to play
@philosopher1aAnd why are we so eager to shorten games?
Why do we need more steals?
Why do we need more runs?
Why do we need more hits?
Why can't people enjoy great pitching and defense?
I dont watch baseball at all, but the only one im against is the shifting one. 1. Lefty or Right, they are in the MLB and should be able to respond to the other teams plays. 2. The Data dont even back up that it had any affects
@rubenromero1699Why do people want short games..Football games are 3 and a half hours with a boring 20 minute halftime in the middle..after driving 2 hours to get to the game getting vto your seat..buying a hot dog..the last thing I want is the game to be over in 2 hours..pitch clock means pitcher will be throwing ball before he's ready resuting in more injuries and higher scores...shift ban results in more hits.tht coupled with more walks and more stolen bases means longer games..baseball is not supposed t o have every game a 12 to 10 .result
@VitoBorcI love these new rules, especially the inclusions of the minor leagues into these rules. It gives me a reason to go watch my local minor league in-person knowing that while it is different from the major league the rule changes there are still having an impact.
I do think there is still plenty of problems that still needs improvement in baseball but this is a great first step.

@nbapbaupdate8338Bad or God for new rules 🤔🤔🤔
@nbapbaupdate83382 min mark. 3 INCHES LESS on throws to 1st Base ? That means throws get to the 1st baseman 3 inches sooner and the bag needs to be moved 3 inches closer to home to keep all things equal for the runner. OR the 3 inch edge needs to be EXACTLY on the foul line and the runner can run SLIGHTLY more in foul terriorty. on the latter any ball going directly over the bag would now be a foul ball. a fair ball would need to go inside the bag.
@alivstyson1864Taking out the shift is crap. Add salary caps instead
@pauljaimepanis8362These new rules are pointless. Game was fine. Reduce the number of regular season games and if you have to reduce the number of innings
@JPPSrulesThey need to do something. It’s nearly impossible to watch a baseball game from start to finish, for me at least. Baseball is boring to watch, slow paced and has almost zero action. Gotta do something, the only thing watching a baseball game does for me is put me to sleep
@KellyKell99as a non-baseball fan, I'm down to give baseball a chance but it gotta increase the pace and make the action go faster.
@sameeli like the idea of the pitch clock but I don't like the idea of banning the shift
@aaronprince5737Instead of shift restrictions they should make a bunt that goes foul with two strikes just a foul ball instead of an out. Make the hitters beat the shift and keep the defense honest.
@jackgriffin9479All these changes are beneficial to the game and are a step in the right direction. While I’m not sure it’ll help the broad appeal to the game, the changes fundamentally improve it
@crzeglehighvidzI can live with the bigger bases as that has benefits I like (safety, stolen bases). The ghost runner rule, the pitch clock, and banning the shift isn't what I want to see.
@jongthedasherMLB is dead, changes too little too late.
@blue-phoenix115Baseball needs to improve the after game parking lot to your home time 😂
@johnl.7754To improve baseball, reduce the regular season schedule
@nithilanamudhan6260I think it's too late. I don't think speeding the game up is gonna suddenly win back fans or generate interest from new fans. With the do or die short schedule of the NFL, the 3-point shooting and constant flow of an NBA game, plus the all out war of MMA, it's hard for the notoriously boring game of baseball with it's 164-game season to compete. I think implementing a salary cap and a minimum salary for each roster would force some of the small market teams with bad owners to actually try to win, which would grow more fan bases throughout the country, and it would help prevent the same teams from knocking the little guy out of the playoffs each year. It's hard to like a sport that allows the Dodgers to buy a World Series appearance every year while your local team tanks due to cheap ownership.
