Mark is full of youth hahaha love the guy
@eazybreezy333Awesome video! Wish there was more info/discussion about Scott Raynor. How they met, what was the turning point of when and why he was kicked out, etc.
@jpgaffney3594thank you Big Cat and PFT for getting this interview somehow intertwined in my algo. Big fan of Blink-182 and Mark Hoppus. Love how age mellows us and gives us inflection. Great interview
@joeg2258Me just finding out today Hoppus wrote a book. Dudes band Of All Things way back in 92' Ridgecrest played on my deck. That house party cemented me as being known as Party on the deck at Stef's aka Stef's Deck Partyš We had the best teen years growing up with garage bands in Ridgecrest. I'm so happy Mark was successful!
@stefsdeckpartyHeās definitely Blink-182ās biggest fan
@Blinkfan90Heās a genuinely kind caring nice guy
@Blinkfan90Iv loved this band since I was a kid and always wanted to see them and when they broke up I was devastated thinking il never see them and they got back together and then broke up again I was the same and then to find out they were back my sister bought me tickets to see them in Dublin in 2024 and I was buzzing thatās all I wanted is to see them my sister got me the best present in the world ā¤
@connorward9269I'm 24 and love Blink (the morning of my 23rd birthday first thing I did was listen to What's My Age Again)
@rezajafari6395999
@JakeDaniel999Iām 37 and when I hear āFeeling thisā I think back on me dancing on tables to that song at parties (in Denmark), when I was 17-18-19-20ish.
@malihahanI get how it happens but if there is two people who should work together is mark n tom
@pauljosseDam Mom was a real one for that advice. Such a great perspective.
@dvijay461Pardon my take sucks
@BeefcakeSaucedid they bother to really mention scot at all??? i always lost a little respect when they act like be basicly didnt exsist
@osirisgames1057Guys.. Travis is a great ska drummer, but can we please not forget BUD gaugh from sublime? I mean⦠come on. He is the reason Travis barker joined blink⦠he was pressing him to do it. Iām very surprised sublime was not mentioned in this interview either. Not only this, but Travis barker is actually helping brads son, and sublime, with a new album (2025) ..A bit disappointed
@michaelglaser1669One of the best Mark/Blink interviews ever. Deep and light hearted.
@shelkonneryYeah, I'll never forget: my buddy almost dying of alcohol poisoning, was wearing the blink 182 shirt with the rabbit on it. EMT's cut it off, he lived and we framed the shirt ⤠(this was Abt '05)
@kans4629Marks mom is a damn Saint.
@quentinvalentine7752Eric COOKED this interview
@mattsean6164As a fan that loved Apple Shampoo the first time I heard it on vinyl⦠One More Time is now your personal anthem.
@nicholasvacca1613Itās 26 years Mark. 26
@nicholasvacca1613Your book is brilliant Mark. Iām glad you took the time to do it after a death scare. Auto biographies are never as personal as a true biography
@nicholasvacca1613My favorite podcast with my favorite musician
@alchris182Definitely an unexpected success.
@whidoineedthisSan Diego in the Fuckin House!
@whidoineedthisLoved how everyone came together around All The Small Things in Denver, during the 2022 Cup run. What a year
@tacojohns2426I got in trouble in 8th grade for wearing a NOFX FUCK EWE TOUR shirt from the heavy petty zoo tour
@floridapunkarchivistI'm as big a Blink fan as anyone, been listening to them since their early days but I don't know enough about Scott Raynor - Dude Ranch will always be their best work imo
@realdustinkirkBlink will forever be my favorite band. Honestly, there isn't even a close second. I am 44, and since the mid 90's they have always been there for me. Always reliable, always real, no matter if times are good or bad. Im able to relate to them as a grown man, yet they still cater heavily to the 18 yr old that lives inside my head. I will always be greatful for this band. It may sound lame or perhaps even sad to some people, but it's tough envisioning my life without these guys. They have meant that much
@alhall305Mark overcoming his health issues is encouraging and inspirational. Glad he is back strong. Donāt listen to blink really these days but hope they go forever
@barebpThere are a lot of bands that came up before blink...around the late 80s and early 90s....bands like Lagwagon, Face to Face, Strung out etc. Bands that Blink toured with and took influence from...and Ive never heard Blink nor any interviewers ask about that connection or era in general. Kind of a let down, as I grew up idolizing those bands. Blink, in the 90s werent considered cool.
@kv6256Great to see Mark happy and healthy
@salexa171Mark is so genuine man. What a great musician and just all around great guy
@brandondebroy1955HOT MULLIGAN!
@daveyapurIām seeing them in 2 weeks at Riot Fest in Chicago. I cannot wait!! Been a fan since I was like 12 and now Iām in my 40ās. I canāt believe I never took advantage of seeing them live before, but better late than never. I LOVE Blink 182
@ChiTwnLinkyo is that Toms baritone jazz master he used for obvious behind mark?
@addman34555Just saw blink 182 last night in Charleston SC. Amazing show! Best band of all time.
@mitchnerjosh<3
@ButterChrome888I'm in the middle of chemo myself, it's very inspiring to see how you handled it and made it through to the other side healthy. Great job Mark š¤
@kristopherking3513good dude
@in_math_we_trustBEST INTERVIEW EVER
@CoolCardo79As a stepdad with a musician stepson (incredibly talented), that's not going to college right now and has those loser friends meetups where they just write songs and do loud shit, it's incredible to hear this from my favorite band member, I choose to believe is serendipity and I'll try to be a lot more patient with that talented slacker
@ANDREV
