Love at first sight, with the Ferrari Dino 206
Video Overview & Insights
When Charles Trevelyan spotted a yellow Dino 206 at #LeMans in 1968, it was love at first sight.
I'm confused. Is it a 206 or 246? He says it has the 2.4l engine?
More than five decades later, his own Dino, stored under a parachute in a military hangar, remains almost completely original. A true time-capsule of passion, patience, and perfect preservation.
Today, Charles hands the keys to his son Piers, ensuring this remarkable story continues for another generation.
And now.... Luce... no words

The Dino should hold a lesson for Ferrari for today - driving perfection is the province of small, light, simple, beautifully crafted cars. They seem to have lost their way on this.

Ferrari
2nd best looking automobile of all time. Of course the best hands down is the Lamborghini Murcielago

@ngocnguyenx5415Ferrari's least expensive car they ever made/marketed (Scaglietti actually built the car & Fiat built the engines & transmissions, because Ferrari weren't really set up to make V6s nor the transmissions & Fiat wanted to use the engines in their own front engined coupés & convertibles coincidentally called Dino), yet one of the most expensive Ferraris on the classic car market.
@elroyfudbucker6806Charles - very happy memories. I remember the sound so well - magic!
@HughHumfreyIts a Dino not a Ferrari Dino
@isluderea8322Breathtaking car
@mpre1965There's something about Ferrari that remains a mystery ...here's to mysterious 😊

@TheMotorPsychClassic car for a classic English gentleman
@simonstock2526He's right, it looks perfect. Of course, named after Enzo Ferrari's son, who died young, so rather fitting that this father is passing it on to his son.
@chrishyde1216The music needs to be louder, I could almost hear him talk.
@writerconsideredTruly touching and how humble Charles is! There is nothing better than sharing a personal story with so much love and intention to give. Enjoy your Dino with every sense!!
@panagiotisefstathiou8148Seems like a lovely chap.

@unknownchannel3541Bless you for sharing what will eventually be the "lost art of beautiful car design" - Soulless, silent ev's will never replace such craftsmanship!!
@MaverickSeventySevenLucky owner, excellent video. Congratulations.
@adalbertobelloBeautiful story!🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@Tvaz1365 P was V12 Dino concept, sadly never produced.
@unowen-nh9ovI saw a Dino for sale at a second hand dealership on the Kings Road in Fulham, back in 1981. The price was nine thousand pounds. To this day I still remember seeing it, and wondering whether I should buy it as it was such a thing of beauty. Sadly, we can't go back, otherwise I'd have written a cheque for it there and then.
@twiceaseagerThanks for showing this
@Mark-cw2vgLa dino non era assemblata a maranello ma dalla fiat che gia gestiva la produzione stradale mentre ferrari gestiva le corse
@antoniosavio993The automotive industry has had wonderful designs, but none as remarkable as the Dino 274. It's unbeatable, the most beautiful car in automotive history.
@luiz6056Just perfect
@mdttm58Absolutely gorgeous car and this story makes me so happy! Thank you for sharing.
@InfamousMSLovely.
@AJBTemplarA true English gentleman who deserves that car and what a fantastic heirloom to pass on to his son.
@lesleysmith5623Wonderful, just wonderful .......
@davejones1074I want to have a dad like him😇😇
@cyrille818Back in the day, the Dinos were looked down upon by some Ferrari purists as not being a "real" Ferrari . For me, they are the epitome of Italian automotive design and beauty !!! A truly timeless classic . Charles, you truly must know how to take care and drive your car for never having to have replaced anything , especially the clutch . Beautiful car !!
@kumaquattro-le1vkCan't argue with that
@sonicbooomboy💙
@enzo-ignaziodomilici735I used to pass a brand new Dino every morning on the way to school in the early 70s. It was a gift from a local supermarket owner to his son and he parked it in the same place every morning. 😁😁
@CLARKSRANTSSo, it's a 246, not a 206, but it's a lovely car all the same.
@karlkleimenhagen9918❤️❤️
@shahpoordejkoob3967please ffs get rid of the dopey subtitles
