the writers sure did use a lot of big words scrolling through their dictionaries but don't be intimidated. It's just a story about a girl who needs a dress. Girls right? There's some confrontation of course with an old estranged friend who as far as i can tell owns a castle, so ordinary everyday people you can relate to, that need to resolve their differences. Didn't sit through the whole movie of course but then again who would?

guys you really need to hear me out, i know many of how love her so much because of her "innocent being" in the movie the devil wears prada. But this movie is literally blasphemous, and mocking of God like it's just a joke. I really got no idea of how many christian and brothers and sisters that is oblivious of how Anne Hathaway still supporting her until now, but we need to change. This is exactly satan's plan, wants us raise her like a idol, and unknowingly watching this blasphemous movie.

This is blasphemy and cursed. May God have mercy on you.

how did Anne Hathaway have a movie come out and I never even heard of it? marketing department fail.

might give it a try. Two things in its favour already:1) I love anything occult, esoteric or ritualistic + witches and witchcraft are probably my favourite themes in both literature and films. I love folk horror if it wasn't clear 😅
2)it is A24 we are talking about. Even if their absurd run of near-perfect films from 2021–2023 couldn’t realistically last forever and won't come back, the name still means a certain level of quality to me, something I rarely find elsewhere.
That said, I’ve seen a lot of comments comparing it to Black Swan... and I genuinely couldn’t get through that film. I wanted to love it but I literally walked out of the cinema probably during the interval and waited for my ex in the car.

Literally the worst movie I’ve ever seen. 2 hours of really bad exposition, nothing happens. People are dumb enough to see any movie A24 puts out now and leave thinking they’re smarter than everyone else

Underbaked and way too long and indulgent. I appreciate the ambition and how gothic and spooky it was at times. I wish Lowery would make another Arthurian movie, The Green Knight is the best movie of the past 8 years.

looks like a school project. you only need to look at the first 5 seconds to tell

35 minutes in. Michaela Coel, look how beautiful and radiant she is. It's true black don't crack. Her skin and face are flawless. Not so much for Anne Hathaway. Oh God, this is hard to watch. But maybe that's the point. I'll continue till the end.

A 43 year old pop star? With no back story in pop culture? This movie better be good. I'll give it a shot. A24 please don't disappoint
