Seem like Gilbert forgot who 04-05-06-07 Kobe. All y'all don't know who or what that version of Kobe was.
The best of Kobe Bryant's 2005-06 season. Kobe Bryant's 2005-06 season was a historic one, as he led the NBA in scoring with an average of 35.4 points per game, marking the highest of his career. He had several unforgettable moments, most notably his 81-point performance against the Toronto Raptors, the second-highest point total in a single game in NBA history. Despite his individual brilliance, the Los Angeles Lakers finished 45-37 and were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Phoenix Suns. Bryant's scoring came at a high volume, as he averaged 27.2 field goal attempts per game, though his efficiency was slightly impacted. He also contributed 5.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.8 steals, earning a spot on the All-NBA First Team and finishing second in MVP voting.

Would be cool to see a series with old players watching back on this- cwebb Mike miller odom about how cold Kobe was wearing the 8
#NBA #kobebryant #lakers
The Kobe that took the Lakers to back 2 back titles in 09 and 10 was Kobe near the end of his prime. 08-10 Kobe had a better supporting cast (even though he won b2b titles without a single top 75 all-time guy)
05-06 was peak Kobe. Their was no individual player better than Kobe. NONE.

@JoshisbrownTHE GOAT
@varaised7577I find his so called "legendary" season overrated as hell. So what, he averaged just over 35 points per game... there are other NBA players who averaged that many points or at least close to that, it's not even the NBA all time record... Jordan averaged 37.1 in his third season, he also scored 69 points in the playoffs against Boston, where it really counts. Do his teammates constantly get the blame for him not winning the MVP award or championship that year as well, like in Kobe Bryants case?? No! And Bryant never even made it out of the first round of the playoffs that year. Also, did you know that Bryant's average dropped from 35.4 ppg to 27.9 ppg in the postseason in 2006? And this was his so called "legendary" season. That is a drop of 7.5 ppg, even though NBA teams tend to shorten their rotation in the postseason!!
Another fun fact: did you know that Kwame Brown and Smush Parker, who always get the blame for this, averaged more points per game than Rick Fox and Derek Fisher did, who were arguably the Lakers' no 3 and 4 option behind Shaq and Kobe during their championship run?
And this is why everyone hated Kobe Bryant at the time, and rightfully so in my opinion. He made Shaq O'Neal, Phil Jackson and so many others leave L.A. just for his stat padding, and the Lakers didn't even make it out of the first round of the playoffs in those years, while Shaq won another championship in Miami. Shaq was the top scorer and Finals MVP in every single championship run with the Lakers, yet Kobe Bryant and his delusional fans always like to lie and twist it non stop, because they're simply being dishonest.
I'll say that his MVP season in 2008 was probably his best season, where he evolved and matured as both a basketball player and a person. Before that, he was an asshole who called for his teammates to get traded in public. Honestly, everyone hated him.
Kobe the best bc of shot making ability these shots are insane jordan have that from 3 or mid range turn around from high mid range sheeesh thats hard to argue against kobe bean the goat
@IMPACTNETWORKINGI was six at the time watching the games with my uncle. I was convinced that he didn’t miss shots. Since then I fell in love with the sport
@NDraguinI had the green and yellow venomenon 5's, (only color I could find)
Great shoes, flat ground.
The sole finally gave out from everyday wear.
How do I get replacements?
I didn't want to let them go.
Kobe was 99 OVR this season
@dantheman815235 PPG at a time when the average for a team was 97... insane
@Lakers24bnIf 2005 Kobe played today, he would average 40
@user-dg1qz1wf7m“A road crowd chanting your name”... he’s playing in his own building you idiot. Every Clippers/Lakers game is just another Lakers home game.
@dazdavis7896# 1 Jordan
# 2 Kobe
Im just making sure im not tripping. Kobe was Himothy waaaayyyy back then. Personally the best basketball player I’ve ever seen
@jamesmace4713:13 - Al Michaels doing NBA games... Interesting
@Borrow919Before curry
@toyasparkman9727Kobe is the Jordan of my generation, not LeBron, not KD nor Curry. I would die to defend this fact
@pacofernandez2397I know everyone sees 2004-2005 as a down season for Kobe but it's really not. Pretty close to 2006 Kobe just wasn't healthy the full season. Take a look at those highlights.
@FriendlyUser-n4cTAKE NOTE SUCKAZ.....THIS IS A LIFETIME CLINIC.....STR8 WORK...CHECK OUT THE DOC "KOBE DOIN WORK"❤
@tonysmith5878The most exciting player ever to watch
@MatthewGabbanaCrazy part is 05-06 Kobe was not at the peak of his athleticism.
@KingJesus26I could cry all day, every day.. Miss you Man, you WERE my hero, my idol. I Love you Man. My soul tore in half when i Heard the news of your passing. I can't get over you, my Man. Just can't. I still have tears left for you, my Man. I cry when i think of you.
When i Heard of you in, i don't know, 2008 or 2009.. i started watching your highlights on old YouTube and watching your career. After some years i started listening to your podcasts, interviews. I knew you WERE special, and that is why I followed you. I adored you, Man. You lift up People and People can follow your blueprint. Thank you Kobe, thank you, for all you did, for all you stand for. I hope for a better future, because of you. Think of you, always. #Mambamentality #KobeBeanBraynt #824

@Bobby-oj9jf35:06 string music 3 in a row
@sunghwanhwang881730:53 kobe owns lebron!
@matthewcolosimo3781Also every time i watch Kobe now i think of the super high compliment Gil gave him when comparing him to MJ and Bron…
@bigwash8598This is a remarkable array of Kobe highlights!!
As I watch Kobe make explosive move after explosive move it dawns on me how much of a routine move it was when he tore his Achilles … it’s on this reel a ton of times. I guess it had enough! But damn Kobe really did push himself to greatness! He took MJ blue print and really did his thang!! They don’t make em like this anymore PERIOD. Thank god for YouTube and channels like yours !!! This channel is better than watching today’s NBA
Greatest Ever
@MrPhilj24It was such miracle that Kobe took the Lakers with these bunches of players advancing to the postseason, almost closed out Suns in first round, he deserved the MVP of this regular season
@bryantlee5716What do you guys think number 8 Kobe or number 24 Kobe
@emmanuelmommymanaged-sf7kpPortland averaged 88 PPG as a TEAM in 2006 and only 4 NBA teams out of 30 averaged over 100 PPG 😮😮😮What Kobe did in 2006 was RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!
@jayjones137181. Enough said.
@kenneth4882Lebron glazing kobe back then 😂 kobe did more with less playing harder competition he was out of his prime 08 09 10 and almost 3 peated twice like MJ without top 75 player on his team & olny player to score over 600 points in 3 playoff runs consecutively & with a broken finger and beat the og big 3 Celtics WOW also olny player to beat 4 50 wins teams in a postseason 🐐
@CraigMack10This team was terrible I see how Kobe got them into the playoffs
@bookieallen7448Kobe always says his 03-04 season was his best version but to me this is the greatest basketball player I ever saw, if he gets any type of all star or guys that proved they could be consistent role players he probably makes the finals after taking the Suns to 7 in round one, but I guess I should watch his 03-04 season some more
@lizethwalkerHow can you play against a guy like that every year yet no coach knew how to play him that man was a different breed for anybody playing park ball and you have that 1 guy that always pops off that's a kobe type player
@sionepahulu78063s
