Your Costco membership card saves you money, right? Well, for some people, this isn’t entirely accurate. With the price of groceries going up fast, more people have asked, “Is a Costco membership worth it?” This may seem like an easy decision if you have a family of five who goes through a thirty-roll toilet paper pack in a week or two. For those without kids or shopping single, the savings might not outweigh the membership cost. But a few more Costco-specific perks could make the deal even sweeter.
I have a membership to Sam’s Club. It’s OK, but I’m interested in checking out Costco. In Vegas, I got my Sam’s Club card for only $25 for one year.

Unfortunately New York State charged sale tax on Costco membership, I discover by accident a work around. I renew my membership in Connecticut and no sales tax is charged.

I'm a poor single man who makes just over $30K yr. Having a membership never made sense but I never thought about adding electronics, camping supplies, booze and gas to the mix. Maybe it's worth getting a membership once every few years.

I LOVE my Costco membership and I can't believe I put it off for so long. I honestly thought, "I don't need those higher quantities of things because I'm a single guy living alone". BUT BOY is it convenient to have those higher quantities. Not only do I simplify my life by not having to constantly run to the grocery store, the items I get there are often WAY better quality than my local shops.
I just checked and since Oct 2022 when I got my membership, I have almost $90 in refunds coming. This is awesome! Seriously their meat section is second to none!! As a guy on the keto/carnivore diet, this has been a GODSEND to my life. Affordable high quality meats from chicken to pork to beef and so many options for each. Who knows, maybe I'll even pick up some salmon cuz it looks amazing!

It's July now but our Costco membership renews in October. I just checked and we're at $134.04 for the cash back rebate. Only a household of 3 but we eat a lot of produce so for the amount that we consume, the prices and the executive membership can't be beat.
