Yes it was the cheapest BMW i140 on the internet and a "steal" of a price. What was the price after doing the necessary maintenance? If just hoses are $500, I would be curious to see the total price after it is good to drive again.

My 340i with valved exhaust when opened is one of the best sounding non-supercar engines i've ever heard and a lot of people who come for a spin agree. Downpipe + Intake (many say b58 stock box is completely fine) + TU Supra Fuel Pump (optional if stock turbo) + Stage 2 tune (MHD or Custom) + XHP trans tune stage 2 + Quaife LSD and you wont be able to wipe the smile of your face every time you drive it. Keep an eye on coolant levels regularly and DEFINITELY replace your PCV regularly as preventative measure (only cheap $$$) it can tear and cause all kinds of issues. B58 is one incredible engine. S58 in the M3 actually doesn't sound as good as M140i / M340i B58 IMO but i'll prob be gunned down by the M enthusiasts here 😆

@AtofioAgka8iSorry guys, those 14mm thin walled sockets have been a BMW thing for years. Not only on the cars but also on the bikes. You can get them from multiple suppliers, I have like a dozen right here. 😆😆

@harveyottotechIn the uk these are everywhere and always driven by chavs ! I have an e39 myself and I love it! I hope you enjoy the journey with this one and enjoy it they are obviously fast and fun to drive but I don’t think you can beat the build quality of cars from the 90s and early 2000s

@HyproTubeI just think these engines look like a Chernobyl octopus and don’t even relate to what the 40 in 140i means. Not saying it’s a bad engine but an RB can be made to look really clean as an engine without a plastic cover. But that is just me I guess.
