Incredibly disrespectful randomly asking strangers their net worth. What kind of world do we live in?
How Does Your Net Worth Stack Up?
Do you know your net worth? How to calculate it? If it’s above or below average? In today’s video I head to the streets to see if I can get regular, unsuspecting people to reveal their net worth. Then we’ll talk about how to determine YOUR net worth and what you can do to increase it.
Kinda weak george will ask strangers to reveal their net worth and not reveal his own….

George Kamel is a personal finance expert and co-host of The Ramsey Show. Following Ramsey’s proven money plan, George went from negative net worth to a millionaire in under 10 years. His goal is to help people spend less, save more, and avoid money traps so they can live a life with more margin, options and freedom.
Holy shit how can you not know what net worth means. What are they doing in their freetime. Unbelievable. So my goal is to stay at the 90% perzentile in networth and income in germany. But holy shit that is fucking difficult in the next 15 years i need annother 400k (€). After that it is pretty easy. Is just 400k more in the following 15 years. So yeah just interest compound wil be enough.
This channel will simplify complex money topics, bust money myths with actual facts, and debunk the stupid financial advice you're seeing in your social media feed. All with a healthy dose of pop culture, humor, and snark. -

@moses9368George is 5"4 what do you people expect
@2jzsuprakingzJust waiting for the day I get to be interviewed by you
@EliStewartSkydive2:33 George looks tiny!
@SR-cp1eoDaaaaang....at 5:16 I thought that car was gonna take them out!!
@jimwilliams55692:49 How short is George that they can't even get him on camera with who he is speaking to. He must be 5"4" or shorter.
@kenbobcorn"My net's worth about 15 bucks" I love George 🤣
@j28money8:50 at least i get an A .!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
@cattingclasses8002While very sound advice, unfortunately George, you are detached from reality. It is not enough anymore to just save and be financially disciplined. The opportunity of financial stability has to be there to start. We live in very uncertain financial times. Inflation is crazy, Gas prices are raising. Massive lay offs. About 6 months to get a job. A system designed to always be renting rather than owing from software to unaffordable homes.
@ao855933 years old, Mrs 34.
Net worth ~930k in Australian dollarydoos.
A large chunk of that is in property value and our combined super balances.
We just hit our 30's and have a net worth of about $300,000. My husband makes about $50,000 a year after business expenses and we have 8 kids, who I homeschool. We just discovered the Ramsey stuff, so now we finally know how to budget on a fluctuating income more accurately 😅... we have always tried to live below our means. We have some credit card debt from a bad 6 month spell several years ago (birth of a child with complicated recovery, medical issues with me and one of the kids, two vehicles that both decided to die on us at the same time and while vehicle priceses were outrageous, and a foster child who needed a whole bunch personal items and who was manipulating my husband's work schedule so we didn't have much income for 3 months)! We always try so hard to stay out of debt and are so excited to have a better plan to peg away at it. We own our home already and one of the vehicles, and we have a decent Roth IRA going. I am hopeful🙏🏼 as long as my health improves!
@average4098Helped my kid open a roth ira and high interest checking account when he turned 16 and was working. He has saved almost everything he has made, investing it all. Im really proud that he understands the value of a dollar and the magic of compounded interest plus time.
@Katherine-c9l2dBE GRATEFUL there are stupid people. I make OBSCENE money selling cash secured puts & covered calls to their kind. Always thank those who sacrifice their futures to assure your own.
@The-Lucky-One-t7kEveryone should track their net worth regularly. I use an app so I can reference it and update it any time. Tracking it makes it so much easier to make decisions that improve it over decisions that reduce it. Put money in savings, invest money, may down debt, buy assets, all of those increment your net worth. Taking out loans or watching cars depreciate or selling assets to make consumer purchases all reduce your net worth. I, personally, hate to reduce my net worth in the app so I avoid making decisions that reduce it!
@alexharker7223These aren't people. They're babies.
@DesertRat1991Is 850k net worth at 30 good?
@superiorseven4814I got an A++. Thanks George!!
@Andre-sc3soThe average person really is as dumb as a box of rocks
@yomoma614133 with a net worth of $980k with 100k in investments. Crazy few years. 4 years ago I had $200 in my account
@cjc132You know what impacts your net worth at retirement maybe more than anything else? Who you marry. And I am not talking about if you can marry a Kardashian or Rockefeller or Rothschild. Marrying someone with similar financial goals is HUGE. Marrying someone with BAD financial aptitude is ruinous to your retirement future.
@jbrock8596It's not 100% accurate though. I believe that your first house (and the financing of it?) is not included in net worth, but other than that, yes, assets - liabilitiee
@djeurdjel1These videos are just garbage with ads in between.
@kmart3064Kinda annoying host. No... Very annoying host
@phillatella6470Why ask young people?
They have no worth
Ask old people
They probably won't tell you
Not a fan that George purposefully tries to make people look bad
@diabolical89012My wealth? messured in Venezuelan bolívars im a billionarie!
@flobba123I agree with almost every single thing that they say. But I came in into a large sum of money and I knew that if I didn’t put it in some kind of an investment account, I would spend it all anyway.
So I did that even though I do owe money
I just knew that if I did not get that somewhere locked down where I couldn’t access it I would spend it all on unnecessary things and I wouldn’t know what I even spent it on
I’m 27 and my net worth is approximately $178,000. All of this is from my own earnings and my own investments.
@b_LoopyProud to say as of Jan 2026 my net worth is about zero. Maybe a hair above. My savings, investments and retirement funds now equal what is left on my mortgage. Guess what happens now? It only goes up! If you let me count equity, then I'm over the $250 hump of net worth. I wanted to keep it real.
@bradleygraves5915Why would you ask a bunch of college kids???
@nickjames2651ASK MORE ADULTS. I’m 24 and my net worth is 362k but I have sacrificed over 7 years working 7 days a week. 🎉
@AcruseBAfter he said “assets - liabilities” the girl said “okay” like she doesn’t know what assets or liabilities mean 😂
@AcruseBNO WAY PEOPLE DON’T KNOW WHAT NET WORTH MEANS!? Assets-liabilities. It’s literally that simple. What else could it possibly be??????
@AcruseBSeems like a waste of time interviewing the same type of people like college kids. Let me guess they don’t know or less than 25k
@Gay4JesusWhat exactly are young people learning in school? They seem to know very little.
@glennpham2763@4:28 : I wish you were my GF.
@FriscopuramI am 68 and retired. I could tell this man what my net worth is within a few percent in seconds.
@9531-d7wIf you're in college and you don't know how to figure out your net worth you need to drop out. You have no chance of ever being out of debt.
@Walter-wo5szI’m not worth much £20thousand😂!!🤷😂
