Your so called "expert" expects the US presence to solve problems which have existed for hundreds, even thousands of years in a period of less than one human lifetime? She should return to university...she still has a lot to learn.

With the US running out of defensive weapons, would China see it as an opportunity to annex Taiwan, and Russia to up its game in Ukraine?

@mukulbhati8914It has helped stabilize it for the past 10-15 years since the operation Iraq of freedom where I served in Kuwait and did missions to Iraq everyday for 6 months and I do believe that us soldiers being there does help stabilize because of the many different rebel forces that would be constantly fighting all the time, but you can't expect the Middle East to be peaceful forever
@ericsparks6276Most Germans are afraid of real power because prior to the US Occupation of Germany, its citizens did not know real democracy and voting. Post WW2 Germany and Japan could not trust a strong Military in their Countries. Now however, the US is forcing both to trust their democracies are strong enough to have also strong Militaries within civilian controlled democracies.
Any war the US fights has casualties. The US people do not want forever wars and nation building where there is ZERO basis for success. An educated population and natural resources are a prerequisite to democracy and nation building so it is self funding not US draining. The US stills controls ALL the oil/gas revenues of Iraq. The US now controls all the oil revenues of Venezuela. Soon, the US will control all of Iranâs oil/gas revenue. How? Because all of Iranâs oil/gas revenues from export flow through 1 Island in the Persian Gulf. A US Marine Brigade will soon control this Island.
I wonder how they will react officially, surrounded by angry crowd. đ gasoline, simple tools, vulgar expressions... and unstoppable crowd.... with covered faces... several small fires on the base ........

@jsalt3800US deployments are not meant to be "stabilizing". They are there to protect and preserve US national interests.

@MemovoxKeep it coming because they'll run out of missles and drone. Keep pissing off GCC and they'll want to get their get back. Close the Strait of Hormuz, the world including China will get involved. Last that happened was Desert Storm and that lasted 43 days.
