Sorry but anything more than 0.5 seconds to grab attention is too long, instead they want to go off and spend the next 3 hours doom scrolling for the right video. I still prefer a "hello welcome to my channel and i am dave and i am going to talk about x and y... boring but less 'retention snappy' but perhaps i just prefer the yt from 10 years ago !

@JourneyK-m6tI gotta say, I whole heartedly disagree with the first point. A LOT of the creators I watch give contextual intros because their hook is their titles. If someone like moist critikal were to cut out his early jokes and context, his video pacing would feel butchered and his title would make far less sense. Ditch contextual intros only if you wanna build an audience with TikTok brain and no retention :|
