How To Really Stop Getting Spam Email

Gary this is good advice but I suppose the question is what do you define as Spam. In a narrow definition you are absolutely right. But I would like some ideas or filtering for the types of Email that pretend to be important account emails from whatever service you subscribed to but is actually Marketing. For example all those "We noticed you have connected to XYZ using ZYX" or some deature disguised as important account information or worse those newsletters/marketing where you have unsubscribed but they still continue to write emails to you. On iCloud I could then block them on the server, and at least with hide my email I can discontinue their email address and then they are actually GONE... But it is really inconvenient to do so, you have to log in to iCloud then find Hide My Email settings and so on... So I wonder which client does it best or which service provider is better at it.

Google doesn’t that good every since I re-installed PayPal my email iCloud account inbox has been taken over with sexual adult sites I block, 30 minutes later over a hundred more are right back I’m sick of it

what a waste of time, a sales pitch for another email provider? are they paying you to promote theirs? i wanted a solution but is just a sales pitch

I keep getting them to my cell phone as a message for a toll bill I need to pay . Even when I block it , another one just shows up the next day —- which means someone has my number

His solution: Change email services. Basically no answer at all.

Too much but didn’t help. Finally deleted my email address and voila, no more spam, big relief.

I have a google gmail account, I still get tons of spam and my account has still been leaked. This is just as much bad advice as he claims the other advice given is.

I have blocked HUNDREDS of spam emails and STILL get bombarded. He's right about spammers: They must randomly change their addresses. Wish there was a way to block emails with COMMON EXTENSIONS.

I'm an apple user and primarily use my .Mac account. Aren't .Mac, .Me and ,iCloud the same?

Hotmail is garbage. They send legitimate emails to spam and send all the scam emails through. So bad I need to change.

iCloud does not stop spam! I get email all the time from some piece of human trash that uses a different Gmail address every time, uses a different woman's name all the time and usually writes junk like "My email address is" or "send me an email". I'd like to know that guy's physical home address and send him something else! I deleted my iCloud account and opened a new one just to get rid of the pest, which was a huge pain itself. C'mon iCloud, I don't get a lot of the emails I want to get because you filter them out, but this is the crap you let get through?

I have hotmail, but it's not really good at filtering out spam. My gmail does better.

Outlook is absolute dogsh*t!! when i compare google i get 0 spam mails on most days of the week, on hotmail about 50-100 on a bad day.

You didnt even mentioned the most obvious choice if you dont want to change your email address; MAILWASHER, etc, why not?

I forgot one question: my computer mail accounts already include iCloud, gmail and hotmail. If I gravitate toward one of these, must I close the account in Mac Mail and use the gmail icon? It would be nice of Mac would get its act together and improve its monitoring system.

I have despair from a list of "ladies" who would like me to enjoy their charms (a bit difficult to say the least for an 84-year-old.) Going through the list of videos on SPAM, I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw a video from Macmost. I have iCloud and also gmail, so I'll make more use of one or the other.

Mail has to be the worst application I use! Its so full of bugs in both the desktop and iphone versions. There isnt even a spambox on the iphone version. Its a pity Apple wouldn't spent some of their billions debugging there software and providing software that works properly!!! Shame on them.

I’m now getting stupid spam on gmail. No help from them.

There needs to be an option to block emails all together especially spam emails. Cuz I'm currently receiving alot of spam emails which I never even subscribed to and it's annoying having to unsubscribe and delete the emails individually. I never subscribed to any of these emails so I'm confused to why I'm getting them and how these people got my email address

Spammers dont never use same email address twice so clicking them to spam never does any good

Google is the worst

Sadly I get tons of spam coming to both my .mac and .iCloud addresses. Apple doesn't really seem to do a good job on spam detection, and neither their web client nor their desktop client provide blocking by domain. I don't want to use Google since they are a privacy problem.

50% of my mail i get on icloud is german spam mail... i'm not even german..
