@brianritchie75I think this is really sad. I don't know, but I don't think that that this guy is inherently evil or an intrinsic pdfile. I think that the whole family is quite obviously dysfunctional and neurotic, at minimum..to be certain. I think healthy ,strong boundaries and family roles were non existent. And I think Brandon was the Stone that took the weighted fall for everyone. A life sentence is , I'm, outrageous and does nothing to help him or her or the family that produced this sad affair. I do not believe for a second that this situation falls into the same category as many, many others. I feel sorry for this young guy. I feel sorry for this young girl. I feel the family left them in the winds searching for connection and feelings of love and just got it all mixed up.😢

I’m not saying that this POS deserves anything less than “life in prison” , but I’m surprised that nobody thinks the 12 year old half sister is 100% innocent. Maybe back 80 years ago a 12 year old was innocent and a virgin, but as far back as when I was 12, 1981, 12 year old girls were thinking about boys/men! In today’s world, I’d be willing to bet that 75% of 12 year olds aren’t even virgins anymore! And 25% already have a child of their own!
My personal experience, when I was 12, I had the hugest crush on my half cousin that was at least 8 years older than me! I flirted my butt off when I was near him! In fact, his younger brother used to say that I wanted my uncle and my aunt in law to divorce so Kevin and I could be together!!

@quitajonaeGreat job Detectives! You kept pushing to get to the truth. Victim blaming is typically the first thing predators do to minimize there role. Unfortunately it is not always cleared up and the poor victims are torn apart on the stand. "Why didn't you say no, fight back or scream!?" It's called "Freeze" and is an automatic response when you are in danger. Especially if the perpetrator is bigger and stronger. It's survival.

@BlueGraySky-9He did not, if fact, "do the right thing" to go and tell the cops everything. Anyway, this confession obviously nailed the case, but I doubt he would've avoided prison. Maybe, just maybe, he would've gotten less. It's crazy how detectives leverage your bad spot to spill you out completely. He believed he did the right thing, while in reality he made the worst case for him and "in the long run" completely made his case impose to overturn. Wild stuff.

Liking her brother and wanting to be close but having been conditioned to think sex was an acceptable option with older males, even if in the family.
