The Platform | Main Trailer | Netflix
Video Overview & Insights
Inside a vertical prison system, inmates are assigned to a level and forced to ration food from a platform that moves between the floors. Directed by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia, The Platform is a twisted social allegory about mankind at its darkest and hungriest.
Does it come in English or only with subtitles??

If all humans wanted was what they needed, would hell even exist?
In a prison where inmates on high floors eat better than those below, who get the scant scraps, one man tries to effect change so everyone gets enough.
Nice

the worst one i ever saw , the director playing football in the swimming pool
@mohamadissa1930Don't jack off save testosterone
@JodiAvilaA person is asked their favorite food when entering the system, and itâs placed on a platform.
The platform moves down level by level, so everyone should get to eat.
But as it goes down, people above take too much, leaving little or nothing for those below.
I have One question
'How is the food platform moving without rope/wires/support ??'

This was a masterpiece
@j.k59Honestly, after seeing enough of Part 2 (and knowing what both films are about), the whole thing just feels deeply cynical. In this world, morality doesnât matter at all. Caring for others leads to suffering, focusing on yourself also leads to suffering, and thereâs no hope of escape, so the entire âwhat system would fairly distribute food?â question is pointless from the start.
People argue about justice, rules, and moral authority, but itâs all delusion inside a closed cage with no exit. If food is the only thing resembling hope, itâs completely understandable that people hoard it. I donât really see clear villains â just starving people coping in different ways inside an inescapable system.
Thatâs why I couldnât root for anyone. Sacrifice changes nothing, justice changes nothing, brutality changes nothing. The movie doesnât explore morality â it renders morality irrelevant. At that point, it stops being a thought experiment and just becomes watching people suffer while justifying actions that ultimately donât matter.
one off the worst movie
@ThePakChinaI'm frightened before watching the movie
@ahmedemad54871:30 BRO FARTED
@Universeverse923this movie , Every month, prisoners wake up in a different floors, sometimes they get to the upper and well-off floors and sometimes the lower and foodless floors. I think this actually refers to the reincarnation and rebirth of humans or that all humans are the same and luck tells which social class to be born in. In either case, you will not have the chance to live in any other class in which you are born. Even if you go up financially by trying or stealing, it will be financially, the traumas of poverty will be with you forever. If you fall down, you will fall according to your social class, meaning the weaker you are, the more painful the fall. The film portrays everyone as having the same chance to live in different classes, which is not true.
@Gkm-Anyone here in December 2025?
@Vincent_SalamancaI really enjoyed this movie.
Hadn't seen this idea in movies before.
What an allegory on society. This film is reality that hits you so hard with what it is to be a human being , societal norms and human survival. Its shocking. Study that for a A level . Hard hitting but underneath we are all animals and we will do what we need to to survive.
