One person from Portuguese history that I adore is the Navigator.FERNAO DE MAGALHAES The first European to cross from the Atlantic to the Pacific (he named it that because that's how it was at the time), the Strait of Magellan is a tribute to him, and when a sailor asked him the shape of the earth he replied, "It's round, I'm tired of seeing its image on the moon!" This was 500 years ago!

I’ve lived in Portugal for five years now, and I still get excited every time I go grocery shopping here. 🇵🇹 The food quality, the variety, the prices — it all still amazes me. In this video, I’m taking you with me on a full grocery shopping tour across Portugal. We’ll visit the main supermarkets — E.Leclerc, Lidl, Aldi, Mercadona, Pingo Doce, Auchan, and Continente — and I’ll show you exactly what €24 buys here.
Hello, I really like your channel. I really appreciate the useful information. You are an ambassador for my country! I'm happy that you enjoy and feel comfortable in Portugal.
You’ll see what makes each supermarket special, what I actually buy every week, and how much I spend on food in Portugal. We’ll also stop by the local butcher and the open-air market in Caldas da Rainha, one of my favorite places on the Silver Coast.
If you’re curious about the cost of groceries in Portugal, supermarket prices, or what everyday life is really like for expats living in Portugal, this video will give you a genuine look at it all — the food, the culture, and the incredible value.
Great video! I’ll be retiring there in the spring as I own a house in San Martinho do Porto which has a few smaller supermarkets, an excellent fresh seafood and vegetable market, and some nice restaurants and cafes, etc. But for sure, I’ll be going to Caldas all the time, as you said, it’s a great city. I was really impressed. It’s the perfect size city; really nice with friendly people, a beautiful park, and yes, loved that open air market! The best fruits anywhere.

@ireneabasheva7407Очень интересно! В Лиссабоне редко захожу в Алди, но теперь за кефиром зайду))
@AnastasiaPetDreamOnCallFor seasonal fruits and vegetables I was lucky enough to find a local shop, not an indian owned frutaria, with prices winning even Pingo Doçe and those frutarias, with opening hours almost as in Pingo Doçe, and stocks updated on daily basis.
@dzmitry6296Спасибо за видео! ❤️👍
@Smail_76Была недавно в Лиссабоне, но в магазины не заходила, мне кажется в Европе цены на продукты везде одинаковые, но выбор огромный, не как у нас.
