How to Enjoy Single Player Minecraft

I want to play Minecraft, but my computer is a complete potato. I've managed to make it playable with a few optimization mods, but the chunk loading speed is very slow. Just yesterday, I finished the game for the first time, and I did it on Hardcord. I returned to the world and died while flying calmly with the elytra because the chunks didn't load. It's very frustrating to die so easily after all that effort and progress. I have a lot of fun playing with my friends and I want to continue playing, but I have almost no friends who play Minecraft and they don't join the server. How can I find a friend to play Minecraft with? Is there a Reddit subreddit or Discord server or something like that?, Or how can I make vanilla Minecraft more fun, as I said, my computer is a potato, so sometimes I want to install a mod, but I don't even bother because of my potato computer and I still get bored and annoyed.

I like single player, multiplayer is annoying

Recently started a fully new singleplayer world. I've installed a few mods for performance and a few for QOL, such as crates to hold a bunch of 1 specific item. Add some fun mods you like, add some cool things if you want. The biggest thing that keeps me playing? Don't rush. I stuck with iron gear and tools for about 20+ days, if not longer. Sure, diamond tools help a lot, but not rushing helped me have more fun. I recently went for diamond tools, but still have yet to visit the nether. I've just been building fun stuff, getting my essentials in place and then want to move to the next point. Do 1 thing at a time. There's no need to rush everything and be the best. Take your time.

🤣 I remeber when I was a kid I always used creative to get me diamond armor(best at the time) enchanted like crazy and I fought the ender dragon and wither in survival with all tools I got from creative

Been playing around since like 2014/2016 since I was little never beat the ender dragon never had friends to really play with and just usually get bored after building my house either that or a base around the village and never make it past the nether I lose all fun and motivation to play

I prefer single player over multiplayer on servers. Yes it can be fun but it can also be toxic and annoying. Some have DUMB rules and others have limited servers and then YOU'RE limited in what you can build. I've been on servers where YOU'RE an outcast and CONSTANTLY watched by big headed abusive admins... I find it's a lot more peaceful and uninterrupted game play on single player. You can build ANYTHING with out having to worry about "lagging" the server. You DO NOT have to worry about griefers and people stealing your stuff. You do not have to constantly see people typing out swear words and others fighting over something stupid. Over the many years of playing, it's nice just to enjoy your own worlds and builds in peace and quiet. Build the way YOU WANT and how large is NEVER a question. When major updates come, I am FREE to copy those builds onto newer updated worlds for continued play. I was on a server many years back that was closing. The server owner graciously aloud us a world download if we wanted to save our builds. TO THIS DAY, I still have and play that build since version 1.3 guessing over 15 years backs. I also love this game so much I decided my hand at running my own server for players. I did so for 6 years. I ended up getting very tired of policing the server of cheaters and closed it. I saved most of those builds too and still have them all. I ended up putting each build on their own world. I have 2 yet to get going on. All in all, it's just more fun and peaceful to be able to play on your own computer and to be free to do what you want...

very solid advice. great video! i've been playing minecraft alone for YEARS, ever since early beta releases. the problem with servers is, people are fickle and have their own lives going on (especially if you're all adults), and it's extremely rare to find people who will find minecraft as interesting as i do long term, or who will want to play in the way i want to play. and that's fine!

For me, beating the ender dragon is the goal. After that, where the fuck do I go from there? What goal do I set?

i actually locked my world's progression behind advancements, like if i got 5, i could upgrade to stone, if i had 12 in total, copper and so on

0:20 the hard part is for people to have such mind set. The problem is Everyone has done it all, in fact they have done it more than once. People just what more of incentive to go back to the old roots of single player. And mojang knows this but they have been chasing the money and not the people. Lucky these past few updates mojang seem to be listening to the public. For me it’s join a server buy a rank that cost a ton of money and beat some kids in a duel. That’s what Minecraft as tuned into for me limited but true. Like to go back to single player but just don’t have a good mindset for it.
