How To Block Junk Mail On iPhone

Video Overview & Insights

Here's how you can block junk mail from coming into your inbox on your iPhone.

I have been with AOL since the 90s. A few months ago I got an email from AOL offering me a deal for around $10 a month. They will stop all junk ads from coming to my phone if I pay them. Sort of like old gangster movies it would go to a poor immigrant business and sell them fire insurance. They would guarantee they would not have a fire in their business, if they pay them monthly or weekly protection from fires.
Well, I declined the kind offer from AOL for protection from junk email. Now as of this moment, I have 1800 junk emails. I have tried unsubscribing but I keep getting the same company emails anyway, I’ve tried reporting them as spam, it doesn’t stop it, I’ve even contacted the Attorney Generalā€˜s office in the state. I live in and explained how AOL is willing to make me an offer. I can’t refuse to stop the junk email then I’m receiving 30 to 50 a day. I had been deleting and reporting a spam and trying to unsubscribe, nothing works. I don’t use my email address very often, I don’t use my phone for business, I’m retired, I’m in my 70s. I’m not a computer or a phone geek. But this is actually harassment. I’m going to my congressmanā€˜s office next week to see what I can have done about this..
On the flipside
I signed up for a Gmail account, maybe seven or eight years ago which I do not use, I tried switching over to Gmail, but I got a message from Gmail that since my account has been dormant for so long, they will not reestablish it for some reason. They send me emails with a lot of techno terminology that I do not understand. Like I said, I’m not a geek, I’m not up to speed on the lingo of the different procedures and terms. So is there anyway I can stop AOL from sending all this harassment to me. It’s frustrating because there are some things that I have to have an email address for like, my doctors office, my eBay account, I do have a couple friends still alive, that send me emails once in a while, but I can’t even find them because of the hundreds of junk emails I have for special diets, or how to get Viagra or how to meet beautiful women or how to get a discount on jungle shoes, just useless useless ads
I don’t like the way that the Internet is being misused. I got a text today that was labeled very important in. It was bad that it was from UPS, and if I didn’t respond by clicking on a certain dropbox, my package would not be delivered today. I’m not expecting any packages today or ever at this moment. So that’s just another scam.
I could understand a scammer bombarding me with silly junk email constantly, but not a reputable Internet business like AOL resorting to what appears to be extortion to get them to stop allowing junk email to completely fill my mailbox
I will do a follow up after I have a talk with my congressman next week

Cool iPhone Facts:

No.2 Just have to mention this.
As soon as one opens a Spam mail it sends a message saying it’s been opened, which means it’s a live address and will go on a list and sold.

— @JohnSAitken

- Every single iPhone ad shows the time as exactly 9:41

- One-third of the entire global population checks their email on their iPhone

They just keep sending them to you. You have to be able to block the IP address from where they’re coming from. How do you find out that?

— @LALA-un1hu

- The first call ever made on an iPhone was from Steve Jobs to a local Starbucks

Cool Android Facts:

It doesn’t work on iPhone. They’ll always go into trash bin and you’ll still see them.

— @ljsteffler5099

- NASA has sent 2 Android phones to space to test them on the ISS

- Android holds over 70% of the global smartphone market share

Doesn’t wk

— @bushyjodes5121

- The Android logo is unofficially named Bugdroid

Does not work if the spammer keeps buying new domains from NameCheap.

I block sender and send email to junk, but I still get emails.

@Quadernity

It doesn’t work because spammers spoof the email address they are send it from, and never use the same email address twice. This guy is a total idiot. While he is at he should also teach you his other trick, how to convert lead into gold—it is absolutely ingenious.

This is the method I’ve always used in until recently. It worked, and I am going mad trying to figure out how to make it work again.

Is this way you describe the same as dragging to the left on the mail without opening it then choosing Block Sender? The problem is, one gets loads of crap via mail. The sender knows if one is blocking and changes the header and one is back to the beginningā˜¹ļø
