Thank you you just saved me by showing how to grab from auto generator》 clixk on edit timing and publish. Boom its easy (why dont they tell you?) Anyways its the creators who are teaching one another (corporation don't) I was dumping full transcript in one box and all subtitles were showing at the beginning of the video and yourube wouldn't let you go to next or done until we finalize captions. So my takeaway from your suggestion is do auto syncing (some people were saying that doesn't work but I am going to try)

A friend wants to turn on automatic subtitles on a video made in Chinese so it can be used by international viewers. He thinks that automatic subtitles aren't available for Chinese, but I know I have seen automatic subs on other Chinese videos, where I could go in to settings as a viewer and choose automatic captions and then choose my language, English. So it seems like it should be possible. Do you know how to turn on automatic subtitles for translation from Chinese? I can pass the info on to him.
