It's been 2 years but we're finally back revisiting the dinosaurs of Jurassic World! #Carnotaurus was the first dinosaur I ever made a comparison video on long before I pursued animations, and I hope I was able to do the devil horned beast a justice!. With Jurassic World Rebirth and Jurassic World Chaos Theory around the corner, expect to see more comparisons this year. Let me know what your favorite part of the video was down below, and what dinosaurs you would like to see next! 🦖

Is Jurassic World's Carnotaurus really that scientifically accurate? 🦖

How scientifically accurate is the trex from Jurassic Park

— @NurtazEhsan-z4j

From its iconic appearance in Prehistoric Planet, to its terrifying roar in Jurassic World, Carnotaurus has become a fan-favorite among dinosaur lovers. But how much of what we see on screen is based on real science? 🦖

Whether you're a Jurassic World fan or a bona fide dino enthusiast, this animated deep dive into the real science behind the Carnotaurus brings this horned predator back to life in a whole new way!

0:20 Carnotaurus actually made it's first debut in Jurassic Park: The Lost World Book with 2 Chameleon DNA Infused Carnotaurs ambushing the main group at night blending into the fence, only to be spotted upon turning the lights on messing up their camouflage.

While I don't think this would've been the primary purpose for the Carno's horns, I feel like at least a benefit of them could have been to act as sunvisors, like the ridges above the eyes of raptorial birds.

I’ve always loved its derpy little vestigial arms sticking straight back.

I also love the idea that its arms were covered in bright plumage that it would have waved around to impress mates, purely because the image is hilarious.

I know that Carnotaurus got its pop culture debut in Disney's 2000 film, Dinosaur. Its design was truly awesome with the red and grey color scheme, it' massive size, and iconic horns. It was much different than JW's carnotaurus but still an amazing design. The inaccuracies I later learned with Disney's Carnotaurus was its massive size, being larger the real life dino, about the size of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, it's bulky build, and arms pronated forward like a t-rex instead of backwards like the real animal. Disney's carno was pretty much like a t-rex, except as a different dinosaur. Still, I loved Disney's Carnotaurus as it's one of my favorites and Jurassic World did make a great presentation of what Carnotaurus would looked like in real life.

2:36 is the Majungasaurus eating the crocodile dog thing from prehistoric planet?

@shrekscousin1389

There was also maip macrothorax that lived at the same time,in the same area. Probably the real apex predator of southern south america at the time. It was bigger than carnotaurus. They probably both lived in antarctica and australia as well.

Bros back with the milk 🥛🥹

@BoogerJames
@

By the very end of the cretaceous Megaraptorans had started to replace Abelisaurs in the apex predator niche as Maip was larger and heavier than it's counterpart Abelisaurs. Megaraptoran supremacy❤😂

Edit: Ouu can we get a Maip video??

Some paleoart and documentaries show that Carnotaurus coexisted with other dinosaurs that lived in Argentina during the Maastrichtian period, such as Saltasaurus, Secernosaurus, Maip, Puertasaurus, and Dreadnoughtus. What do you think?
