How Lessons in Meme Culture Ruins Memes
Video Overview & Insights
Lessons in Meme Culture is the reason why many memes die. LiMC (short for Lessons in Meme Culture) makes videos explaining the origin or founder of a meme or where it comes from. @LIMC Lessons in Meme Culture thereby kills their humor and fun.
Grr they ruined glaggleland>:(

Oka but also he so confidently spreading misinformation about memes
@glebem665He’s been around for years, the most consistent youtuber i can safely say i watch time to time and covers the daily memes like a good samaritan. I will eternally always be brainrotted and frankly i love this dude. His channel is just iconic and ive been through this journey for years now.
@whoisthisnoyesThis old video started getting recommended again right where the hate started rising again, nice
@si9778Tell us your dislike count and I'll give you a chocolate bar
@perkstonshambles1734Cringe take : if all the memes you know are are explained by limc you got commoner taste

@JulleVDB"If Jesus came to Earth and cured all the diseases, he would still have haters"

@rebbeca3097Oh well sorry for not understanding why ppl now joke about fried waffles
@dorm-b1pHow else am I supposed to understand these memes.
@baseundecillionHis videos is gonna be important for the future since without his videos the future is probably gonna think the 21st century was full off stupid people which it is but atleast theyll know why people were laughing at the number 6 7 ot brainrot
@thisransomguy8533Imagine if studying other areas of society got this kind of a stupid reaction.
"How historians are KILLING history."

@EvodaBitchHE'S DOING TRICKS ON IT?!?!?!?! like holy glaze bro
@That_random_BaconThe only reason I like him is because I'm too "unc" to understand any of the memes from the last 5 years
@deadman2ooong like he’s at least 29d late and if not kills it
@Extrmlyrthis comment section is why you should watch the full video before actually commenting….
@CurrensStuffHe killed my moth.
@napstablookkIf you hate LIMC for being too easy to make then you'll freak out if you see rant vids
@Kid_MopPeople who are against LIMC are literally just copying EmpLemon vs Behind The Meme (thanks for correcting me mid video lol) except Emp was actually someone familiar with meme culture at the time (key words: at the time) and BTM did a terrible job explaining memes.
Edit: my bad I commented before watching and had to correct
The way I see it, memes are not jokes by themselves, they're actually punchlines.
Understanding the joke is what makes the punchline work, and like it or not, someone has to explain the joke.
"Punchlines" that don't have a joke, or when the actual joke is taken away, is why we end up with brainrot memes like Ugandan Knuckles and 67.
And LMIC at least seems to have this unspoken "grace period" where he waits for the meme to kind of run out of cycle or start phasing out before uploading his explaination of said meme.
Now that I've put it like that, he's more of a "meme undertaker" than a meme killer.
0:50 song?
@llllllllll0llIll1lI0They are trying to do the same they did to that the channel meme that explain them I don't remember the name of the channel.
@zeroking981This is 100% ragebait, but those other guys seriously have problens
@SKEANZmusicIts pretty obvious that once you monetize a meme it dies. Fact is, his channel is just like any other content driven channel on Youtube. For Profit, and basically just covering topics happening ROGHT NOW in order to stay relevant. Even if they arent memes. Which lately, they haven't been.
@janky477This is satire right?
@theprinterdude9687bro how else am i gonna easily learn what memes mean 😭
@cod_sandwichBtw in 2:03 or all he hase to do to make a video is using AI and voila easy video

@ramprabu6661Mis-leading title. Should have been called the LIMC railing video.
@ondururagittandeska2004agel like fine wine
@Jyan-altIf you have so little in your life that a guy explaining memes is a substantial negative to you then, you really, really should give a deep look in the mirror and think at how low you are.
@woundiavalarbro didnt even form this opinion on his own he just got it from another video
@WillDeSousa-s4iNO ONE wants to see ANYTHING presented in a calm intellectual manner? That manner of presentation is EXACTLY why 1980’s Transformers is still to this day the phenomenon it’s been since Sep 17 1984, THE VERY DAY the first episode aired lmepo
@jeffreyseay7707Rofl the series is the only way I can keep up with the memes my kids come out with 😂
