@ImranSahib-q6qIt’s a good size, but please be cautious, as not every axis is designed like those in industrial lathes, where every plate must fit perfectly to withstand immense pressure. When cutting too deeply, vibrations, resonance, and deformation may occur due to the inability to endure the force. The linear bearings are not mounted on a solid metal body and have gaps to allow for free running of the bearings. That being said, you’ve done an impressive job! By taking lighter cuts in each pass, the finished workpiece will turn out beautifully.

@buildonbudgetph4662Very interesting project and excellent workmanship. One thing, though: I'd be more confident with alignment of all elements and accuracy if rails and chuck bearing were locked in place with dowel pins. Bolt holes have clearance, even if they're close clearance, there still is 1/64" movement possible. This is 0.016 of an inch, and they can shift under extreme loads. Dowel pins would eliminate that.
