Canadian here. TSN the Canadian WC sports channel, their 4 colour commentary panel were so pathetic. Misinterpreted on field decisions on penalties as well as other issues, subtle political digs when they should not have done so, and seemed to think Marsch walks on water. It was embarrassing. Wilson overperformed last season both in terms of having an outlier season of form and producing above his expected goals. Having said that, he was clinical which leeds need and that means you make a lot of your chances and have high goals vs xg. Plus even if he regresses to the mean somewhat he is still a very valuable signing who starts especially when looking to get three points (not just hold for one) and that raises the floor AND ceiling of the club.

Positionally he keeps Dan James and Gnoto on the bench which is great because they have creativity and speed in offense but are only just on the edge of prem ready, so best as impact subs. Plus although he is a right wing, he can play left wing, ten, or more central midfield, so thats cover for lots of positions we have had trouble with in terms of injuries or inconsistant form like Aaronson (who was really good at times but also bad at times) or Okafor who was injured for streches.
Really gives us an additional shape.
