Great job ACG. This is how you review a remake/remaster. Unlike IGN, who said "7/10, because this is readily available in MCC". Yet they are fine with playstation remakes and re-remasters like Demon Souls, GOW, Last of US.

But is the voice acting an improvement? Is the environment in Truth and reconciliation actually dark like the original & not that bs hollywood dark? If you despise the foreruuner aesthetic of Halo infinite is that still here? Does it feel less tactical because health packs are gone? Are the animations or move set of Elites against the player improved or are they a downgrade from the original making them seem more dumb? There is so many things that so many reviewers aren't questioning and if you do you get called a purist but these are important questions and the ones that have asked those questions the answer has been the definitive "No"

Main difference for me looks like the speed of it! I remember HALO being a lot slower paced than this on OG Xbox, even without the sprint? which gave the encounters more 'weight' imho.
I don't know why everyone hates on the Library mission so much? I always just equipped my shotgun and got to it! It was always 'kinda' meant to represent the never ending and almost unstoppable onslaught of the 'Flood', I actually quite enjoy it!
Another thing I need to know is does it have the little rocks that fell down slopes when the Warthog came to a stop, and the bullet casings physics from the Warthog rolling down slopes too and bouncing off the warthog when firing the mounted gun!.... every game since the first seems to have missed those... small thing, but hey adds to the feel. It doesn't look like it has them... :(

I didn't like halo 1 when i first tried it out bak in early 2000's, but did like Unreal 2 Awakening, which came out roughly around same time lol

I love how close you are to realizing how video games are made... "sometimes games are jank in unreal and sometimes its not".. like oh what could that mean? could it be and let me know if im going to fast here, but could it possibly be, now make sure you follow along here.. could it be that its a developer issue? not an engine issue? the engine runs as well as the developers knowledge of the engine. if you've had jank in a game in the past its almost always the developers lack of knowing how to optimise. games that run great in ue like this game and saros are made by people who actually know how to use the engine.

I don't like it. There is literately nothing wrong with the original game and any change to it is for the worst. Game looks like a Fucking Disney Live action movie.

I think gamer's these days love to focus on all the negative and not the positive.

But what I will say, is i feel somewhat lost, at the amount of games OUT there in the PAST that could be remade/remastered, that are either so

That IF they were remade, they would somehow feel new.
I give an example of the very first Medal of Honor game, way back on the PS1.
There is a fan made remake of it on PC, and it is AMAZING.

Why do games like Halo,
When you could remake/remastsr

There are SO MANY amazing games that could be given a lease of life, yet instead they seem hell bent of breathing life in too games that haven't really ever died.
I am 47, I feel like I've been playing Halo since birth.
