God of War: 7 Skills to Get First

Am I the only one who thinks Dark elves are insanely annoying. The difficulty progression is broken. I felt like they were too op for that stage.

Else you can be smart and block 99 attacks early in the game, and then wait to find 1 opponent and just reload the game over over again after blocking the 100 attack, so you exploit exp. And buy every skill possible from the start, and only take about 45-60min

Would it make sense to get all of atreuses skills first?

How to I use the special moves of each weapon stopped playing it because I couldn't pass the 2 dark fairies at the end of the game, buy still can't win.... 😒😤😠😠

If you want to break the game get moves involving forward x R1

Just spent every upgrade & XP on Atreus. He can win the battles for you, not kidding

Grab both of Atreus's skills (Teamwork & Ferocity) right away: Not only are they really effective & frequently useful but both are automatic & don't require button prompts. Oh and they're cheap to unlock to boot! WIN/WIN

I've played till the end of the game and i'm trying to get to the hidden chamber behind Kratos' home and the daggers are having no effect on the vines back there. Anyone else having this problem? it's incredibly frustrating.

I have never had more incredibly epic battles in a game. After every huge boss fight, I'm like "ok, how did I survive that?" and then I remember that Kratos is a Godkiller and a badass, lol

My PS4 says I'm only at 17% completion and I have unlocked every skill up to lvl 5. Magic, bows, Range and Close quarters combat. I also have unlocked all but the left column of Rage Skills. Only 17% completion, so dont sweat the skills or upgrades, explore and kill everything and visit every area around the lake of the Nine and you will have almost everything unlocked. And I have also leveled up about 80% of all my Runic Magic that I have found so far.

Giys, How do I trip ememies, I'm throwing axe and not tripping. Can I use sheild sweep and it trigger for the labor?

As someone who recently passed the main story on normal and restarted the game on hardest with plans to do 100% run, I have to tell you that hardest difficulty FORCES you to find most efficient, easiest way to kill enemies because even the most BASE enemies kill you in 3 hits, not to mention the bigger ones who kill you in two and huge ones who one-shot you.
So, here's what I learned:
1. As the video mentioned, learn how to parry, and learn how to dodge, and then learn which attacks to parry and which to dodge. Parry staggers all enemies that are very close to you, which opens you up to take free hits on them. This is how I mostly do damage in the hardest mode.
2. Executioner's cleave is VERY useful. It's hard to find the right time to use it because of the charge time and close range, but if you are in a battle with several enemies and parry in such a way that they are ALL staggered (happens quite often, and if not, the unstaggered enemy will surely attack you, giving you another chance to parry-stagger the group), they are staggered just long enough that you can execute the move, and because it's sort of like a finisher animation, you will not receive damage while doing it and it does massive damage.
3. This is more for the hardest difficulty, as enemies level up very quickly if you don't tend to them soon: a combination of Kratos' fists and Atreus' arrows combine to build up stun VERY fast, so learn how to punch people WHILE shooting arrows with Atreus (this is where a scuf controller gives you an advantage, being able to press square while not taking your thumbs off the analogs is great).
4. Learning effective ways to "juggle" enemies in a downed state will make your fights easier. I find it's nice to do that heavy attack with the axe that throws them into the air, and then while they are in the air, continue hitting them with the axe's light attacks.

New God of war reminds me of Dante’s inferno. Which is a underrated game.

Shield are not new. These exact shield mechanics were used in chains of olympus. You could parry and also reflect projectiles.

This game's combat is surprisingly deep. Once you learn the movesets there's never a dull moment and it becomes way less hack n slash. Hard difficulty is where it's at and even then there's sometimes bullshit but overall it's satisfying.

Also, Give Me God of War is for masochists.

Is the axe the only weapon available? If so I think this is kind of boring...

Man, i only played gow on psp and it was kinda fun. When i saw the trailer and gameplay when it was revealed on e3, i was skeptical about it cause it looked so good, it has to have some downside. How i am so wrong.

I’m glad they switched it to another mythology too, and games should be like this, with puzzles at intermediate level of difficulty to solve, epic graphics, strong character connection and build, intriguing story and finally but not last: FUN!

Games should be fun, not rage inducing and leave you a stressful night sleep.

Oh, and the axe boomerang mechanic is just ‘wow’ mate, take my moneyy

Good game but enemy variety is lacking big time, you only fight a crew of humans once! As shown in the intro of this video. and you fight a ton of mini bosses that are exactly the same but different colors

I’ve played and beat every god war on hard difficulty. This one is giving me headaches . I keep pressing the wrong buttons for some weird reason .

i ignored everything and got the move where he grabs a boulder from the ground while in rage mode. haven't looked back since. 😂
