Oddly - I will never have a Smart TV in my house where it can be updated without my say-so and all that. BUT, I do use a ROKU stick, which is something I can unplug and throw away if I need to. A Smart TV isn't as simple as that. You'd have to toss the whole TV! I can unplug my ROKU if I ever get to feeling too paranoid about it and just watch my DVD or Blu-Ray movies/tv shows. My Blu-ray player is not connected to the internet by WiFi or otherwise. AND I will Never Ever Automate my house! Ever.
