With the World Cup in full swing, it got me thinking, what are the times we have seen a Figure Skater Flop? There isn't a whole lot of reason to flop in Figure Skating... but that doesn't mean it's never been tried!
Ashley Wagner has nothing on Valentina Marchei. Valentina’s spectacular fall in time to the music at the very end of her programme was something I’ll never forget.
Watch as skaters such as Christopher Bowman, Ashley Wagner and Johnny Weir attempt to make the most out of their falls, and even play them up in an effort to get favor with the judges... but skaters beware, those same judges might not be so kind when it comes to selecting next seasons International assignments!

Anna Pogorilaya made a career of dramatic flopping! (see 2017 worlds). Alina Zagitova 2018 worlds LP was also a pretty spectacular flopping performance.

There’s an interview Johnny did after being exiled to Eastern Sectionals where he literally looks like he’d rather be drinking motor oil than be there (https://youtu.be/Dbrms1G4Tdc?is=Fz-DOFGgO40Zk1hn.) That picture of him you put in the video is so funny, I can imagine he was relieved after his efforts paid off in 2004.
