Feeding Our Potato Crop! Dry Fertilizer As Arrived
Video Overview & Insights
Dry Fertilizer has arrived, and it's time to get to work! We load the fertilizer spreader and the tender with the first delivery off many feeding our first potato planting. This is an important step to helping the crop get off to a strong start. After fertilizer, the next thing will be hilling.
How will the upcoming heat affect the potatoes?

@brianwentworth3352Referencing that shot at the beginning of the video, how high up does that water get? I was sitting here wondering if it floods the field bad.
@ganderstein3426Life as usual on the farm. If it's not one thing, it's something else. Good luck with the fuel pump. Great educational show.
@DHGo-ex7nsI paid $27 for a 50 lb bag of Triple12 this spring. It gives me a belly ache just thinking of how much you guys paid for 14 ton x 3! Unbelievable…..Very informative video, thanks.
@BruDog1480Molly great farm lady and great piercing ears choices
@kingdavidl2012It's funny that you have to call a dealer 3 1/2 hours away to get a part from one that's 15 minutes away. lol
@rickillamGreat video,very informative.
@RC215-o4fShane, when everything goes right do you need to pinch yourself to make sure you’re not sleeping?

@scrotiemcboogerballs1981Service is just getting sooo bad these days! 😩
@joesmith1926Salford seems to have equipment in most of YouTube farmers that I watch. Potatoes are looking good.
@davidcolgan3268thank you
@jillesboerFrom Austrlia. What a day, Shane finally is allowed a speaking part, the Tuddly Dudlies are growing well. Remember no Tudley Duddlies, no nice fat Chips, oh sorry you prefer those skinny anemic things you call Fries. There should be a law about wasting Tuddkey Duddlies on those anemic things.
@richardtravers8772Great Video.
@t.charinath4250YOU MECHANIC GUYS! Growing potatoes for an excuse.
@terencegillespie6675Excellent video thank you, Molly and Shane, that dealership has very poor after sales service.
@Gearoid35Good episode Molly, thank you for sharing. We're cheering for super 2026 crops. To get a bit more life out of expensive fertilizer equipment... at season's end, we would blast it with high pressure water, and scrub it inside and out...scraping off lodged material...getting it clean. Allowing it to dry. Steel brushing rust and bare metal spots and shooting them with Rustoleum. Then spray the unit inside and out with oil mixed with diesel or kerosene. We told ourselves it lasted twice as long... which was still too brief. Fertilizer eats metal as you watch.
@frritter8253Had potatoes last night, wish they were from your farm
@josh_b_1980Is Besty in charge?😊
@Bears58Molly, has anyone nick-named you 'Tator salad'. Growing up on a farm, things just happen. Back in the 1970's the girls did not think my tractor was sexy. There lose I know where vegetables come from.
@donaldross1077Parker store, haven't heard that name for a while, I was a manager of a Parker store in the UK about 25 years ago
@dawdawesWhy does the amount of fertilizer you need vary if you are planting potatoes every time
@DavidSharlotWelcome back it is June 29th here in Birmingham, Alabama and missed you guys. I know y’all have been real busy with the replanting and all the prep work. Potatoes are looking great. Enjoy your summer.
@rascosim1The two rows of potatoes in my garden look great. Not to far from flowering. I just used 10-10-10
@JamesHillwigEverything looks very nice and in order. Bessie loves being there and in the shade of the trucks.
@TimR240HaYou know Molly thats bad when you have to call PI to find out if Auburn has the part you need unreal. Dave D.
@daviddziomba9664Potatoes looking great❤
@DarrellKing-j8cI eat potatoes almost everyday with farm fresh eggs ,i eat good for cheap and im in great physical shape.
@Luis-pz6niMolly is back to her roller derby days with a new name MIZZ FENDER BENDER lmao.
@mrhappy067Other than the calibration, there was no explanation of how the spreader works. Does the PTO drive some air system that is taking the fertilizer as it is metered out and blowing it through those pipes to a delivery and distribution nozzle? I do not hear the sound of a blower, but it may be muffled on your video.
@rightsideofthegrass8114Great video
