Fable's Life Sim Mechanics Could Be a Game All By Itself
Video Overview & Insights
Jean-Luc saw a hands-off demo of Fable's life sim systems, like NPC interactions and buying real estate, and if it's as robust as it looks, it could be something players will spend hours on.
I bought this game for my gf 👀

I hope I'll be able to turn rich Bowerstone nobles into beggars.😄 Only those who dislike the kind, virtuous or generous(I assume it's a possible reputation) reputations though.

Hope asha doesn't cancel this
@germangamer2976im guessing you can adjust your appearance to please the shopkeepers
@whatstheprobl3mI think it's funny that a shop owner hated the player character because he was an entrepreneur. The lady was projecting self-loathing like nobody's business.
@penttikoivuniemi2146+1000 npcs.. though I am wondering just how versatile the literal business end of the game is.. do the properties have attribute-trees or quest lists, maybe a good variety of jobs or even custom types that come with their own quest line? I shouldn’t get my hopes up— but if I can’t boot up this game to live the life of a mad party animal magician or a potion hoarding hermit, I won’t be 100% sold.
@berezynpepole needs to talk about it more
@gordon11-q5zThis game looks like a European national soccer team the afro hairstyles make it unplayable . No immersion in forced politics !
@waddewelI don't think it could carry a whole game on its own, but it is really cool to have in an RPG. I hope the way you can interact with NPCs gets fleshed out a bit more after launch or in a sequel. It's so weird that the game is so much about these interactions, but then you have so much stuff that has you not interacting. Walking up to an anvil or a sign and just doing something is convenient, but it's also pretty impersonal. It'd be so much cooler if you needed certain skills to work as a blacksmith, had a work schedule and had to do a job interview. And instead of evicting tenants and moving in through a sign, it would be cooler for you to have to talk to characters directly and then wait for them to move out.
@nikidelvalleWe're here to say 'thank you' to the Colin the Pig fans 🐷
@FableDoes anyone know where in the timeline this game sits, looks like its just after or before Fable 1?
@WheamsShopkeeper: Well, I'm going to have to ask you to leave...
Me: I see. I'm buying this shop, and setting some new rules about the pool area.
Is it like fallout nv where you can eliminate all the NPCs in game? Do we get a negative achievement?
@locoDEADMANPig looks better as main mc so far
@Kiricen77CAN’T WAIT!!
@TokyoBayCityThe biggest question, does your appearance change based on how good/evil you are? Loved that about Fable 1/2, hope it comes back
@mikeanthonyliveHow does the blacksmith job work? Can you keep repeating it over and over or is there a limit?
@BusoKrenixLove this. If this was in Crimson Desert I’d lose my mind! 😂
@Nob0dyN0se81We dont play as Shrek anymore?
@oppikoMicro managing the villagers is not what I want in a Fable game...
@IzzeTimI have zero reason to trust playground games, they consistently deliver.
Fortunately they’re not Peter Molyneux
Avowed PTSD
@hobosapiensSinceShadowMosesThey had me at Jack of Blades
@dejanjovanovic9364The visual feel of this game makes it look a LOT like Baldur's Gate 3, as does everything he describes in the video about how NPCs work, such as their attitude towards you affecting the prices they charge you for things. It's clear the developers were highly influenced by BG3, which is good.
@astrobill_youtubeTime to raise the rent prices again!
Hahaha
So basically it’s like practically every other Action RPG game out there lol
@WTF_IsAKilometerThis has to be Fable 2 with the Fable 3 decisionmaking.
@EshBBXYou need to turn off the normal walking animation during combat; it looks really weird to see the character walking stiffly while fighting enemies.
@Ozymandias_8888He must’ve never played Fable 3
@KenobiDragonI'm still waiting for trees to grow on their own and for NPC to take your side-quests. For 12 years now
@wenterinfaer1656Is this the new Ocarina of time ?
@PixelmeewHappy Pride Month! I identify as non-buy-nary!
@PaladinKonradFirst off you're not IGN so I trust you a thousand percent more.
Second the fact that they wouldn't let you play a little bit of the opening area by open world do you have to stay locked into the story is suspect.
So the game I don't trust.
As far as the game itself and everything you described I'm definitely leaning towards a major failure for this game
I know there is fantasy elements but I cant play a historic setting game with modern looking npc in it with different races shown that would never be as common in that period and its a shame cause I like the prevous games.
@adrianbalboa5353"Fable is going to be dogshit. They betrayed the identity of the entire franchise by removing character morphs. I suggest not buying it. If you want a good game that respects gamers. Try lords of the fallen 2."
@danielphillips1973Taking this with a huge grain of salt. The limitations of the system will be a fraction of what they appear to be
@echo5827Why is that guy wearing the wig from Star Wars Outlaws' Kay ?
@blacktiger0393That kind of deep mechanics into npcs gives the game a totally different perspective, with loads of playability.
Looking forward to it !
Still no word on mini games and activities. Must have a ton, like- more than we can count. It’s 2026 and they’ve had years of dev time, no excuses 😁
@BotMcClankerNot looking good
@0xjdiongod loves you!
@yukix5this is gonna consume my life i can alr tell
@theojohn0410So I want to go on a date. You need
1) to be rich
2) wear rich people clothes
Aaaaah just like real life
Voice overs only pls
@v1nigra3I find it jarring the poor animation. Looks very much like how people move in racing games, which makes sense. But, maybe they really chose the wrong engine for this, either that, or the engine needed more tweaking and overhauls than they were able to implement.
@VenVileThe main question I have about it is.... where did you get that Witcher III t-shirt
@DeclanSharkeythis game would thrive with the nemesis system from shadows of mordor
@tay5009Sounds to good to be true :D
@lukassodaitis5473Why have u styled your hair on Kay Vess
@PABLOSGHOST
