Everything has side effects like prescribed medications that help you they have 6 or more side effects. Iāve worn colored contacts my whole life. They are drying and not the same as clear contacts. My eyes are red from always wearing them. And bc Iāve worn them my whole life, Iām so used to the look that I donāt want to wear clear contacts. Iām sick of it and I really donāt want to wear them anymore. I want to get this laser. Everyoneās talking about it like why would anyone do thatā¦meanwhile everyone dyes their hair, gets plastic surgery, etc. I know this is serious because it has to do with your sight which is not anything to mess with but when will the laser finally get approved? Stroma lost funding but apparently still has trials coming up in Germany soon. There are people who got this done 10 years ago that are still ok. Hopefully it will continue that way.
And laser is apparently way better than the kerato implant thing. Iād never do that. Also looks bizarre. The laser is your real iris

Just get colored contacts and you can take them out if you don't like them! I don't get it!!

My favourite eye colour is brown, by far, and my eyes are hazel (green amber).
I don't understand why people want to have light eyes at any price.

Well, I read a post on the change eye colours and one woman posted I have green eyes and always want brown. I replied I always wanted green eyes and my eyes brown.... want trade? lol Thanks doe the info. My son told me if brown eye people got laser treatment we have blue under our eyes??

There is also the issue with keratopigmentation of dilating the pupils. If you need a dilated fundus exam the iris would dialate with mydriatic drops but with the procedure you actually make it significantly more difficult to actually be able to see the peripheral retinal fundus. Can lead to missing tears, RD etc

I feel like your eyes are so delicate why would you mess with them? For me I'm already blind as a bat, so I can't afford to lose my eyes altogether.
I saw a girl do the laser and she is a year into her procedures and she is still brown, but you can slowly see the change, so anyone who is a deep dark brown eye, it could take a year or more. I saw another guy use a mixture of honey and water.

@liamford6249this video is very imformative, thank you Dr.Rupa :) I would be affraid of these procedures especially iris implant and kerato. I had LASIK done once, 8 years ago, it really improved my vision but didn't go without any side effects. I have really dry and sensitive eyes. I had much wore vission before but my eyes felt much more fresh. Every procedure is an invasion, so.. :)

@tensiitensii216I had to get a laser procedure on my left eye because of it incident that happened when I was in the army and it lowered the melanin in my eye and it slowly turn my eye blue so now I have two different color eyes

@ChadGardenSinLAHi Dr. Rupa a family member of mine is going to get laser de pigmentation in a place called EyeCos in Europe that states itās super safe. Would love to know if you have chance to take a look at the technology they use and your opinion as results does look very natural and beautiful but Iām a little concern for my loved one.

@BrazkowiczThere is also a fourth procedure which is laser depigmentation, which remove the pigment from the iris through out a laser, and it is performed only in Spain, Barcelona.
@LaurenGarner-p5rYou can go blind from wearing contacts too when you damage the cornea. If you wear contacts daily you have a 364x time more of a risk of damaging your cornea than the one time risk of the kerato procedure. Correct me if Iām wrong here? ā¦

@OfficialJaeBaexI agree with her. Stick with colored contacts. Buy them from a known place like Americaās Best Contacts & Eyeglasses - they will probably require an eye exam and be sure to know how to wear and store them properly. You canāt wear contacts 24 hours a day. You have to put them on in the morning and take them out at night. Some are limited wear and can only be worn a few hours - donāt mess with those. Many contacts can change eyes as dark as the girl in this video to eyes as blue and beautiful as Michelle Pfeifferās. My real eye color is dark brown and it astonishes people when they see my very pale blue eyes with contacts.

@satisuyanaI have hazel eyes with some blue however i have a dark brown ring surroundung them and it rslly looks awful as if im sick . I was really wanting to do the laser and knly to a small extent , just to tsrget the outer area,i understsnd that you dont reslly suggest it but if done to a small extent is it more safe? Id love some insight , also from what uve seen people that go to laser them (like yeux claires)seem to have no priblems but im worried about very long term . Its a big deal for me to have a good eye color vut also a big deal tl be able to see ,contacts dont look good snd cause irirtstikn for me , what are you thoughts? Would it be okay if dont to a small extent ? Can you see these types of procedures becomijg safe in a couple of years ?( the laser one )

Did you know that thousands and thousands of animals have been disfigured, botched, killed, sacrificed in labs to study the process of eye depigmentation. Money hungry people have been burning iris in animals using laser for more than 15 years just bc some human individuals wand different eye color. Different eye color for vanity. Not to restore their vision just for vanity. Where is public outcry? Where are animal rights "warriors "? I see no protest in front of the clinics š¢
