In many states min. wage is 5.00 bucks an hour or less. Houses are 1/2 million and mortgages north...gas w/b 8-10 gallon and interest rates ....north. So what difference is a few jobs this way or that ?

@austinrobert8881Companies use any excuse to raise prices such as what happened with the Trump tariffs. Look at one that has nothing to do with gas and oil prices. AtGames raised their cost for their products massively. Once the tariffs were reduced, they kept the prices high. We saw companies do this during the pandemic and never return to the prepandemic prices. I'd guess we'll see the same exact thing from these business that deal in oil changes, and selling gasoline. The greed is real and companies could care less about us.

@Amado-o7eIt’s not totally unbelievable. Oil tankers are quite large and so are storage crude tanks. To be brief, companies bought the crude at a higher price and then had to process the crude into gasoline and jet fuel. Then the finished product is pumped to storage tank farms and then eventually to underground storage tanks at gas stations. Im leaving out a bit, but it takes while and I understand the frustration it causes w prices at the pump. Basically I am saying that the crude bought at a higher price takes a while to run through the refining process.

Among the questions asked:
- Why did you say "25 million people" instead of "25 million citizens"?

- Why not address election security concerns directly?
Schumer did not respond to the questions before leaving.
