I'm confused between grc and security engineer. I don't like heavy theory but also I hate heavy coding🥲

I think this job will be very competitive in the future because there are a lot of vacancies. But I still want to stay in this line of work because I think only the most talented people like me will survive. Even though I'm just training now, I believe in myself.😂

Hey teach, you gotta parameterize that API 🔑 in a .env or something 🥲

`Basically’I love your videos

Bro has his API key just out there for everyone to see. What a guru😂😂

Funny you hard coded the ChatGPT API key. Obviously you could have passed it in via an environment variable. Yes you probably rotated the key after the recording but still, like your a security guru come on 😂

@roisolomon9953Good info! If I can add a speaking critique, saying “if that makes sense” after saying something that easily makes sense is so irritating. I know it’s a pet peeve but it comes off like teenager talk. You did it 4-5 times in this short video 😅
@Insaneblaine1991Great content! Thanks.
@isle67what about Digitial Forensic
@John-py2dmHi, what would be the most natural path for a qa engineer (manual and automation) towards cybersecurity? Other than pentesting. Thanks
@tortyr666Hello Josh,
I really look up to you. I'm reaching out to you in LinkedIn. Could you please give me 15 mins.
Certifications Mentioned: https://youtube.com/shorts/O_eAQNQ5mBU
@CSTrainersGreat job Josh
@Highlydebatable216Is it possible to make a career in cybersecurity from a non-IT background?
@raselahmmed000Here are my past roles and pay for your list, also a WGU MS Cyber Alumni here "Go night Owls!", Cloud Engineer Jr 125K, Principal Cloud Engineer 180k base, Information Systems Security SME 230K
@HEADSPACEnTIMINGYou forgot to blur out your API key
@agentlogan4760How will AI affect Cyber Security? Would love a video on that!
@WhoopWhoop22Great job with the spreadsheet, thank you.
@Bode_NathanielAm from india currently pursuing Mca ,can you tell me what would be entry level salary in india for cybersecurity role
@shaikhabuuuuGreat video.
If I may, I think it would be valuable to create an additional video but provide a salary/total compensation breakdown for each job title/area of focus, based on sector.
I've worked on the Offensive side of security for almost 10 years and in addition to being paid more than what was listed here, I've rarely seen any of those titles.
Typically in Offsec, we see things like:
Offensive Security Engineer - Mid level or Lead
Application Security Engineer - Jr, Mid level or Lead
Red Team Operator - Jr, Mid level or Lead
Penetration Tester - Jr, Mid level or Lead
The titles mentioned in the video may be a bit more prevalent in the public sector. I can recall seeing titles like:
Cyber Exploitation Engineer
Threat Emulation Engineer
Exploitation Specialist
But the salaries were much lower and often times didn't include any equity, bonuses, etc...
Nonetheless, great information! Just thought I'd share some (hopefully valuable) insight.
Do you think u can make a video like this but for tech sales? Thanks! 🙏
@brianperez1619I really like this format of breaking down the full process, this is a good project too
@NetrunnerDrummerIs it just me or is the sound not very good?
@John-a81Chart is misleading as the most paying roles (reverse engineers, exploit developers) are very rare. You should also consider accounting for ease of entrance or transition into these roles. I know great reverse engineers who are struggling to get a job
@alleniverson4860What is the brand of the cap?
@GhostchartsFun side project. Thanks for sharing.
@AlecMalyHow the data was derived is interesting. I might try this with cloud roles because I was just putting tick marks next to the roles with the words 'cloud' in it lol
@shontaiblye9104@joshmadakor you did not blur out your API key. looks like it may be cut off though...
@andrewhughes459Josh, this was really awesome as it was super informative. Can I ask what your thoughts are about Cyber security with AI?
@t.m2933Love your videos man appreciate it🤝🤝
@kumarej4112This is a project on its own. 🔥
@BryzInAIthe sample is skewed because it only includes jobs with salary listed. entry level jobs don't usually have salary in the listing.

@younisjabr1989Please do a video on WGUs new cloud paths! They will be available in OCT and I’d love to know what you think of them! I can’t decide to switch over or stay with the old curriculum. Thanks for all that you do!
@mattsfatashellGood work pulling real numbers instead of relying on assumptions. Even with 100 jobs, this paints a clearer picture of the market than most lists out there.
@JasonL_HawaiiVery fascinating, thanks for sharing! It was also interesting to see the variation in title and description for the same type of job.
@sspoku#1 Cyber cock jerker
@nobody-m6fYou are the best sir.
@OluJonesSo with Threat Hunting, SecOps, and Incident Response what is the actual salary ?
@ThirtyOneWayzForPapeToo low of a sample maybe go back 90 - 180 days with minimum of 1000 jobs
@format27Advice please. I got 10 months of IT support exp, and now 2 months of CS specialist work exp, finishing my WGU BSIT soon. My job is to improve our NIST 800-171 score. I want to do GRC in the future. I saw multiple Indeed GRC posts listing CGRC cert by ICS2? While study it, I will do my own NIST 800-171 , ideally -53 also. Good plan to pivot to GRC ?
@bulba888Awesome Analysis,
However, Where are the Links Bro?
