What gets me is that these people think we believe them. They are constantly moving the goal post and when there is harp proof of something, the gov covers it up or destroys the evidence. The story of the Hopee Indians and the ant dwellers is not far fetched. When I was 9 or 10 my grandfather took all the grandkids out west for summer break and we visited a place that gave a tour through part of the national forest. I remember crawling through dwellings with very very small entry ways that seem perfectly carved into a giant plateau. You could still see some wall paintings and rooms set up.

The sky didn’t just fall; in places... It caught fire like a kerosene-soaked rag. That unseen trail of an ancient comet—a nasty piece of the solar system’s violent, forgotten childhood, finally shook hands with Earth’s orbit. In mere seconds, the atmosphere stopped being a shield and started acting like the door of a blast furnace.
The Murim world was no stranger to the dark, but this was a different breed of shadow. These were jagged, splinters of iron and ice, some of them as big as downtown department stores, punching through the stratosphere. They didn't just land; many turned everything within five miles of their shadow into a cloud of glowing atoms.
Across the United Provinces, the bill came due all at once. On the coasts, tsunamis rose up like gray, foaming walls, erasing skylines as if they were chalk drawings on a rainy sidewalk. In the heartland, the heat alone set the forests screaming before the rocks ever kissed the dirt. In a few dozen heartbeats, the census started dropping like a stone. In places like Fidorla and Nelcatour, half the population went out like cheap candles as the power grid turned into rivers of melted copper, blasted by supersonic winds, turning the metal to shrapnel that pierces whole structures. Random shotgun like patterns radiating out from the blast zone. Very few able to even notice the streaks of glowing material.
Blaze: Impact
Blaze stood on the rusted fire escape of a tenement that smelled of boiled cabbage and old failures, watching the horizon glow with a bruised, sickly purple light. The air tasted like ozone and burnt Michelin tires. Even as the world outside began to scream, the noise inside his own head was louder.
The silence from Kira was a physical weight in his chest, heavy as a bag of wet cement. He thought of the way she’d pulled back, her ways turning cold, treating him like he was part of degrading crowd she’d favored.
He gripped the railing, the metal biting into his palms. He could still hear the echoes of their laughter at her expense—the way they’d made others feel like a ghost in their own life.. Even before the fire started falling from the attic of the universe.
The Hammer Drops
A low, guttural roar—the kind of sound a mountain might make if it had an ulcer—shook the tenement to its pilings. A fragment, maybe twenty-five feet of jagged space-trash, whistled overhead at a speed that defied the senses. The vibration hit first, a low-frequency thrum that made his teeth ache in their sockets.
As the light flared into a blinding, white-hot, the laundry hanging on the nearby lines simply went *poof*, turning into black butterflies of soot.
Blaze’s instincts, honed by years of surviving things that should have killed him, took the wheel.
He didn't run; he burst-stepped covering the distance to the inner stairwell in three blurred heartbeats. He hit the floor on his stomach just outside his door as the impact pulse arrived.
A second later, the blast front arrived to collect the rent. It ripped the building’s face off. The heat was so sudden and so intense it charred the green paint on the doorframe behind him until it bubbled like a bad case of hives. It wasn't the Big One, the world-ender but it was enough. The city didn't just break, it folded its hand and quit the game..

The world had ended, and for the first time in a long while, the things in his head had gone quiet, drowned out by the steady roar of a now fully broken planet. Blaze had stepped out of his apartment building and into a world of gray ash and bitter smoke, learning to live in a world that was just as fractured and beaten down as the people left crawling through it.

After the rocks fell, the half-mile crater in the middle of Candleton City sat there like a big, dusty eye, its bottom turned to jagged green glass. The skyscrapers were skeletons now, their guts spilled out by hypersonic debris. The lucky ones—if you wanted to call them that—huddled on the floors of the ruins that hadn't quite fallen down yet.
Blaze let out a long, weary sigh, looking toward the east where the sun was a pale, sickly coin behind the haze. A man in his late thirties, wearing a dust-caked sweater and bandages that had gone the color of old tea, walked up to him like he was approaching a stray dog that might bite.
"Hey, uh... you Blaze?" the man asked, his voice like sandpaper.
"That's the name on the mail," Blaze said.
"The east took it hard," the man said, clearing a throat full of grit. "Big pieces. Bigger than the one that cracked this nut."
"Appreciate the intel," Blaze nodded. "Anything on the military? Any word from the Green Suits?"
The man shook his head. "Word is they got vaporized in the first wave. What’s left is pinned down by the mountains, trapped angry survivors."
